I’m sure they do plan ahead but what I meant is planning ahead for the next expac while writing this one. The game feels like they come to the writing team 6months before the next expac is announced and then tell them the overarching theme. So some of the stuff they have written into the game previously is now going to make no sense, if they were aware of this ahead of time they could have at least made things make sense. There writing staff still aren’t great but it does genuinely feel like things just get dropped on them.
better than the last 2 exp lore. Bravo!
Oh that is probably also happening yea. Assign amateur, unskilled hackjobs the task of ‘inventing’ a story around a theme. Though it’s equally possible they decide the theme. Would explain where these last few flip-flop thematically insane expansions came from.
Remember, DF is Danuser’s baby. I knew it was coming, still didn’t think it would be this… lame.
They are standing there for gameplay reasons.
Just as a sidefact, SW/OG portal room also doesn’t exist in lore.
U see, he is a dragon and dragons can manipulate time and space. He is there, but he really isn’t.
It’s not like he actually stood on the pier for weeks without moving. By this same logic you could question any quest giver contradicting the story. I’m thinking all the times an NPC is in two different places at the same time for gameplay reasons.
I don’t mean to white knight WoW, but this kind of scrutiny would make any MMO look like a continuity mess. And WoW’s continuity is plenty f’d up already without us looking for issues where there are none.
Granted, space he may manipulate…but for time he has the wrong color ![]()
And that’s the point…Wrathion and the Dracthy immediately depart for a flight to Stormwind. If they took a break in Valdrakken…why would they send out Kalecgos on his own to do the recruitment if Wrathion is already underway?
Did Kalecgos do any recruitment?
like he just went to Kadgar to talk
