Convenant sanctum worth upgrading?

Is it really worth it, beacuse i dont see much gain from it. Or am i just judging book by it covers? I think lvl1 for all 4 types from night fae is just enough as it is.
If im wrong sorry in advance.

The covenant level unlocks sohlbinds so yes

I think he meant the mission table, anima conductor, path of Ascension, etc. These are mainly cosmetic or offer limited content (more mobility, some WQs).

I personally do them because it’s part of the game. It’s not necessary but it’s there if you want it.

Im def not bothering upgrading my mission table. I only ever send them out once a day at most so both the upgrades are worthless.

Anima conductor maybe, it adds some daily quests that award 500 anima to help with the 1k anima renown quest.

In short: no
Its not essential, and you don’t need it… well… anything
Good to have?
Yes
Anima and souls basically gathers passively, even if you only do it for the Renown and story, eventually enough soul and anima piles up to just unlock what you want
Blizzard actually listened for once and not make the mistake the third time, and made the table a game within the game that plays insetad of you for gear and essential resources and Gold… it is just a content, fun to have, but not balance breaking

I am leveling on my Mage, but Anima on my Priest will go into cosmetics only.

  1. Mission Table is mindless and chance based, but extra Anima and rare times Soul Ash are bonuses.

  2. Navigation section is pure convenience and might be rendered useless once you get Flying. Only worthwhile milestone is rank 2 with an Oribos portal.

  3. Covenant specific activity which is purely optional.

  4. Anima Conductor that is nice for the world content nut - it gives a bonus rare, bonus Treasure chest, bonus Dailies for Grateful Offerings and Anima, and World Quests.

I feel no necessity in any of these, personally. There are a lot of things you can put Anima into, so make your choice carefully.

They are very much optional and is more or less ways to dump excess anima (can’t remember the cap). I like that they do not feel absolutely necessary, so when I am farming and saving up for upgrades I do so because I want to - not because I feel that I have to.

The Venthyr’s Ember Court is nothing but a scenario where you host a party. The rewards are purely cosmetic. It’s silly, useless and I really like it for those exact reasons.

I found the travel network on Venthyr quite useful (I think all Covenants have them), but other than that it’s an optional feature that just gives an extra color tint for the the renown armor set. No need to do it unless you want to. For example, the thing on Venthyr to host parties is of no interest to me, so I don’t do it.

I think you have this mixed with Renown levels. OP was referring to the 4 things in your sanctum you can upgrade with anima. These are all optional.

Pretty much all of the covenant buildings are just for minigames, quality of life stuff and the collection tab: transmog, pets, mounts, achievements, titles etc. The most impactful non-cosmetic thing you can get from them are crafting reagents, inconsequential ampunts of Soul Ash from the mission table and the Conductor is tied to the ability to purchase a random Runecarving Memory… But by the time you unlock that option you are likely to have all the memories you need for gameplay so again, it’s just a collection/completionist thing.

The entire anima/sanctum/world quest gameplay loop is what I would call ‘casual endgame’ - it’s endgame content for people that don’t raid, don’t run m+ and don’t pvp, but play the game for the story content, exploration and collecting stuff. It’s pretty cool it’s there and it’s great how in depth that system is, since just one expac ago, in BfA, if you weren’t raiding or pvping or dungeoneering, there was quite litetally nothing to do for you at endgame. If your endgame is instanced pve or pvp, none of the sanctum features are really designed for you, though I urge you to check them out eventually once the season winds down, the unique covenant features are particularly fun and some covenants’ transport networks also have a surprusing amount of questing content and depth tied to them.

Depends on each “motivation” in WoW. If all you care is about that dps meter or parse in logs and you will only do anything IF it helps your “numbers” then work on covenant renown cause soul bind upgrade can give performance upgrades.

If you want to do something outside and perhaps enjoy WoW in a “non-competitive” way in your free time then feel free to dive into your covenant and do everything.

Well the one that allows you to teleport in the zone gives you a portal to oribos when you get rank 3… The rest is like wq and stuff, a cosmetic wierd minigame and a small buff to the even worse mission table… not excited gotta say
