I converted several of my characters from Legion Remix to retail characters, several of them are now stuck in the wrong version of Orgrimmar.
It appears to be a version of the Shadowlands starting state, with deathknights with the introduction quest to the expansion. This version does not have an innkeeper, mailboxes, Tendies, etc.
I did the first quest up to the first hand-in in Oribos on one character, then abandoned it and returned to orgrimmar. This character is now in an even emptier orgrimmar, and the portal to oribos is missing now. [Makran - Defias Brotherhood]
On another characater I did the same, but continued until I selected a covenant, and then returned to Orgrimmar. This returned me to a slightly more alive orgrimmar, but the gate to grommash hold is now shut. [Shokano - Defias Brotherhood]
Other characters in this same situation are [Xotoatl - Draenor], [Ttchak - Draenor].
The last ones, [Faldralon - Draenor] and [Mnako - Defias Brotherhood] got a popup with the quest [The Call of Fate] which requires you take the portal to Oribos to chat to an NPC, but the portal is missing.
I’m not sure what else to do since my quest log is empty.
Same happend to one of mine I converted from remix legion to retail. Asked sometimes here in the forums but solution and no blues whatever…….Ended up that i just leveled up another char in remix cus of blizz lack of godd customer dialog.
Safe to assume that the problem is permanent without developer intervention.
Someone had done a party sync and their issue was corrected, but leaving the group removes the required quest flags for them to remain in the correct phase at which point they were reverted back to the wrong timeline.
There are some hints of DHs being able to “claw” themselves out with some easy to miss quest (variation in questline) but I cannot personally verify the truthfulness of this because the users did not provide much detail in their posts.
Some previously found this worked. No harm in trying
