That was actually an argument for OP to gnome warlock 
i beg to differ, shadowmeld is op. Especially on a hunter, due to the fact that you can drop combat and use shadowmeld.
Horde lock is not best, its “easy mode” option has been chosen upon creating a character.
Eveeyr horde lock or rogue makes me nearly vomit cause faceroll gameplay and ZERo challenges involved, yet player usually flexes a lot for no reasons (tons of utube videos by horde braindead gameplay).
Is not that complicated.
Female orcs are basically bald.
Male orcs are too wide.
Undead male’s are malnourished
Undead females have bad hair.
Gnome males are 2 feet tall.
Gnome females are also 2 feet tall, but have pig tails
Human males only have 80s beard options
Human females aren’t that thicc.
Male trolls have scoliosis!

The real answer - there is no reason, hardiness is the best lock trait in regards to racials and you dodge shamans

I don’t know about you but a button that literally makes you Rogue proof and boosts your armour by 10% is far more valuable than Shadowmeld.

Everyone makes a massive deal about how all the Horde racials are all so much better but conveniently forget about how strong Alliance racials are.
Why do most of the Horde PvP crowd play undead and orcs? For the same reason most of the Horde PvP crowd play dwarves and gnomes.
