Convoke + Echoing Resolve Trinket

Sooo, is there anything being done to put this interaction in line or what?

Only three things:

  • Stacking up and hope it splits damage so you can recover from it
  • Using big defensive cooldowns or mobility stuff like gate
  • Beg blizz to remove those stupid trinkets

Isnt echoing the one where you have to double cc and the second counts? As in I blind, theyre immune to next cc so I treat it liks holyward and double sap. That and the other trinket are totally stupid.

It’s the trinket which increases CC done to you by 20%, but after the first cc, you become immune to ccs and interrupt for 15 seconds - with this, there’s nothing you can do to stop convoke - ofc some specs can survive it, like SP with disperse/GF if you didn’t get interrupted - but it’s a stupid interaction nonetheless, especially considering the amount of damage convoke by itself does+ the normal burst druids do

I’d recommend getting the new aegis trinket. It helps a lot with sitatuations like this and is a great trinket in general vs many comps like rog+mage to absorb the resonator or help with combust go. Other than that, if you class does not have tools to deal with this, you are out of luck.

its 3 cc first 2 miss

Feral convoke druids have normal burst : o?

I was mostly talking about Balance, but regardless are you really going to ignore berserk/incarn?

You guys are confusing the different trinkets:

  • One is 20% cc increase, but being hit will cause you to be immune to the NEXT cc after that (Echoing Resolve).
  • One is immunity to 2 cc / interrupt effects (Fastidious Resolve).

I think all the new trinkets could very well just be removed from the game.
But anyway, from a “Feral Convoke perspective”, there is just too many ways to prevent the go, even with the immunity, to make this even a problem.

Death Knight:

  • Plate wearer, naturally less damage taken.
  • Have higher health pool than other classes.
  • Plays Necro, so will have a HP shield.
  • IBF to walk out of the stun and take reduced damage.
  • Simply stack pet(s) on self / Feral to split damage (very easy to negate as UHDK).

Demon Hunter:

  • One of the “better” targets to kill.
  • Has the ability (or tendency) to detect in stealth, or randomly do AoE to break stealth, or randomly jump around the map, or randomly pre-Blur any type of go while going mongo on a target.
  • An increasing number are playing with Netherwalk for immunity.

Druid:

  • Stealthed at start of the game.
  • Most have Necro HP shield.
  • Barkskin while being stunned.
  • Automatically procs Frenzied Regeneration.
  • May pre-Bear the go.
  • Tranquility for immunity as Restoration.

Hunter:

  • Crit immunity with Roar of Sacrifice.
  • Stack pet(s) to split the damage.
  • Feign Death or Aspect of the Turtle for immunity.

Mage:

  • Has extra absorb shields.
  • Can Blink out of the stun and Frost Nova.
  • Ice Block for immunity while stunned.
  • Fire Mage can survive with Cauterize.

Monk:

  • WW is one of the “better” targets to kill.
  • MW will teleport away while stunned.
  • May use Ring of Peace to simply knock away the Convoke.
  • WW may trinket + teleport, or just plays very aggressively with Xuen and having a high uptime on SEF which splits the damage.

Paladin:

  • Plate wearer, naturally less damage taken.
  • BoP for immunity, useable on every possible go.
  • Divine Shield for immunity (BoP should be enough to negate anyway).

Priest:

  • Passively up to 30% dmg reduction with Focused Will.
  • Disc has Pain Suppression while stunned.
  • Majority is Venthyr and auto-root while dropping low, allowing them to walk away.
  • Holy may simply die and ress with legendary (saving all other cds).
  • Holy has Guardian Spirit to save from death while stunned.
  • Holy has Holy Ward and Greater Fade to become a difficult target to pin down and hit.
  • Holy may trinket + jump up in the air.
  • Shadow has Dispersion while stunned.
  • Shadow may use Void Shift to swap health.
  • May grip their partners away from Convoke.

Rogue:

  • One of the “better” targets to kill.
  • May survive due to Cheat Death.
  • May simply trinket + Vanish / Evasion to stop the go.
  • Sub have the potential to burn through the immunities quickly with their cc.

Shaman:

  • Semi-decent target to kill.
  • Likely will have Necro HP shield.
  • Resto with Earth Elemental pet / leggo will randomly break stealth, stun, and split the damage.
  • May have increased HP due to Earth Elemental.
  • Enhancement may have Spirit Wolves which will split the damage.
  • Elemental can knock away while being stunned.

Warlock:

  • Have higher health pool than other classes.
  • May have Necro HP shield (unless Affli).
  • Dark Pact while stunned available every minute is enough to prevent any go.
  • Can use pet kick while stunned.
  • Demo has an insane amount of pets to split the damage.
  • May trinket + teleport.

Warrior

  • Plate wearer, naturally less damage taken.
  • Will sit in Defensive Stance.
  • Increasing number playing Kyrian with auto-pot and auto-stun when dropping low.
  • May trinket + Heroic Leap or DbtS for immunity.

Again, I’m not trying to defend the trinkets, and in no way is this list conclusive.
I’m simply pointing out the “Feral Convoke perspective”, and if you think that this playstyle is an “easy and fun” way to gain quick rating - think again.
You are basically playing without any Medallion trinket, and a majority of your kill attempts WILL fail with the amount of Paladins, Priest, Warlocks and pets that there is in arena.

I’m not confusing anything. Echoing Resolve is the trinket I’m talking about. It provides CC AND interrupt immunity. Balance Druids can eat your rear end with this benefit because they become unstoppable while farting out 40K surges like it happened yesterday in a match

My mate instantly reacted with grounding totem, to no avail.

Im never scared unless it convoke even with berserk up it does almost nothing. If u use anything vs berserk then u will most likely die to convoke.

Its the convoke thats the issue.

Sometimes it doesn’t even break my dark pact, sometimes it breaks dark pact, necro shield, kills my pet and takes half of my HP. I like the design of the spell, its fun but boy is it awkward for PvP.

this is wrong. it makes you cc immune for next 15 sec after getting cced.

Unless it is a bug, you should be able to stop him by using 2 cc / interrupt abilities rather than just 1.

Not unless it is a bug. The effect lasts 15 seconds but should be removed after 1 cc.

CC has 1.5 min GCD. Convoke lasts 3 seconds. It’s almost impossible to kick it right at the very start of the cast, so 1 second of Convoke gets out before you’re able to react (it you’re not in CC). You use 1.5 sec global for druid to immune it, so that’s 2.5 seconds gone and 0.5 seconds for convoke to end while still immune to interrupt.

I’m going to say again: trinket interaction with abilities like convoke is ootp. These trinkets should not have been added to the game.

IDK mate. I get Ferociously Bitten for multiple 20Ks. It’s not as scary as Balance, but it’s not a little kitten either

pretty sure interrupting nothing uses up the effect. since interrupts are off global and often short cd you can use the interrupt along with a cc to deal with stuff.

Echoing Resolve provides immunity for 15 seconds regardless of how many stuns/cc you do.

Only Fastidious Resolve has the two CC absorbs

Both are pretty strong, regardless.

On the second one, it absorbs 2 ccs before you’re able to CC, so interrupt + stun doesn’t work

the echoing one is every other cc. i’ve faced it a couple times now. you cc (or kick) them, they get buff, the buff eats next cc, they get cc’d again, they get the buff again and so on.

the most irritating thing from my pov is that they get the buff from getting interrupted so then you need to get it off like a holy ward or something and you’ve just used your kick which is the easy way.

so for me for example i could step kick cheap shot to stop something all in 1 global.

don’t know if cc that’s fully dr’d also triggers and uses up the buff. like if you were to stun someone who’s stun immune.

No. Echoing is full immunity for 15 seconds after the first cc, and CC lasts 20% longer on you.

it literally says “the next spell interruption and crowd control effect”. i’ve seen it several times now, it’s passive and eats every other cc.
