it’s great they added it in, but as it stands right now. it removed all the buffs you had above your healthbar/mana/resource bar underneath your character.
Alot off the buffs arnt implimented in the buff tracker from the cooldwon manager and you cant customize it. (adding in new buffs yourself like Aether attunement for arcane mage).
I play all classes so now i need to get around 10-30 + more weak aura’s i felt like i could do without due to it just showing under your char. i like not having all the weak aura’s.
All i’m trying to say, please either add in all the buffs, or the ability to remove / add buffs to the buff tracker bar thank you.
id much rather prefer that aswell. or atleast the option to choose.
i understand what they are trying to do. make the game more userfriendly toward’s new players. but at the same time. on the classes i relied on the attached buffs on the peronal resource tracker. i feel like i got the choice. stop playing your alt’s or get amillion weak aura’s
There’s a new addon that enables you to customize which spells appear in the new cooldown manager: https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/cooldownmanagercustomizer
It has some limitations but the developer says they have plans to expand it’s functionality in the near future.
I have to say I’m enjoying the irony that a new feature that seems to be intended to reduce our reliance on addons - is being improved by an addon!
i tried it already. it only let’s you hide stuff atm, not really add thing’s. or even move the buffs leaving gaps in between the buffs also no option to make them attach to the personal display bare so if you move the camera it just cover’s ther prc (persoal resource display) yes i can move it, but i liked having it around my char since it made it alot easyer to focus on not stand in bad. due to your full attention to your char.
apriciate the engagement of trying to find a fix <3 thank you
They had a chance at making a good and usefull ui-fix implemented in game, instead they release something semi-done (like most content aswell) when theres a bunch of addons doing the same thing but better. Yikes.
Yeah… im thinking that too. Or that the people acctually doing the testing barely plays the game or has some wierd -“ive never tried using addons because it would ruin the original layout” type agenda.
Did they remove buffs from personal resource tracker entirely? I cant see any cd on the health/mana bar under character anymore and I dont even use this cooldown manager.
Which is completely against the point why they added this feature in game so the game would need less addons, but now ppl would need addon to customize the feature they put that we would need less addons, and it also removed cooldowns from personal resources even for those who dont wish to use this cooldown manager?
With all due respect, this is just the deepest bs you’re pulling here Blizzard. The function is not even at practitioner level. It should be deleted immediately. The lack of customizability of the function is disgusting. Not being able to hide or even reverse the bars of the “tracked bar”. Then to remove functions from the previous personal resource bar. Who releases this junk? Is IQ below 50 the minimum requirement to land on the decision-making floor?
As of right now this is actionbars in a different format you can’t click.
Scaling and moving are the basic functions that all UI elements have. I don’t understand how blizz allowed to ship this feature without these functions. These trackers also need additional functions like opacity and the ability to add/remove things or shuffle them around. Another flaw is its limitation to class abilities only, you cannot track your racial, trinkets, potions etc. It is clearly very incomplete.
Honestly, they don’t need to bother bringing back the personal resource display. I’ve made a TellMeWhen that makes me see everything I want so now, I wouldn’t use it anyway.
Edit: All of the functions are in the game, they’re just burried in all the options. My bad.
Also we cant move the CD manager in the Edit UI thing? Or am I missing something.
This feels undercooked af tho… holy Blizzard if ur gonna implement it at the very least do it better than the addon makers… cmon now.
Why reply this to me. Read again what you quoted me from please
I dont use this but I looked in edit mode and see that it is scaleable and movable by default features found in the edit mode though.
Blizz added cooldowns and buffs back on personal resource display like it were and as far as Im concerned all is well. I dont need anything from this cooldown manager so personally Im not using it.
Im tracking cooldowns of party members and my enemies and Im using addons to see them attached in party frames and nameplates and gladius. Thats the type of customization I would need from the game and what I were suspecting to get when they announced of improvements being made for default UI with cooldowns, sadly that was not the case and this is of no use for me.
It looks bit like some rotation helper, even if I cant think of use for this maybe some can but still dissapointing that this is all we got, anyways… its whatever as we can continue customizing game for our needs with addons. And who knows maybe one day we can see even diminishing returns in default UI or some other things like party cds on party frames (its been 21 years)
