Corpse camping

Fair world Pvp has never existed…like ever.

Doesn’t change the point? Also comparing old pvp servers to warmode is apples to oranges. You couldn’t turn it off on old pvp servers. So technically if you make someone turn it off that’s one less person that’s going to be around to have fun pvp with later.

If you want to go with the past you must have the same rules the past had.

  1. Towns protected you, People wheren’t one man armies in low level towns.
  2. You couldn’t just sit up in the air and swoop down to kill people you know are 100% kill

There’s more but you get the point.

Nah no worries.

Though I will say that I do actually enjoy being killed by 120s. I can remember being ganked in hellfire because I strayed too close to the citadel. Luckily I didn’t get camped but it was an “honourable” death, no flying down or anything.

I don’t really get your point. I simply said world pvp was never fair. You’ve waffled points and paragraphs - I can actually imagine you waving your arms in disdain…doesn’t change the fact that it was never fair.

you good person thats cute that means youre not warmode material.

That wasn’t my point to begin with, So can say the same to you?

Funny about that: When I began playing in TBC I got a seriously nasty experience going to Vietna- I mean Stranglethorn Vale for my first time. It was full of gankers and I could only barely get through it.

I swore vengeance in the form of a goal - I wanted to reach level 70, come back and just gank every Alliance player in sight.

I did that. For about an hour… Don’t think I’ve ever corpse camped since. Ganked more than once? Sure, but not anything intense like that. Also I was brand new to the game and pretty young at the time.

The solution is there - Turn off war mode.
I know you won’t like hearing that.

Blizzard once had an official map out an example of an egregious case of harassment through ganking. The idea was as I recall, something to the effect of pursuing another player for days. 45 minutes is nothing.

Frankly it borders on over-entitlement to attempt to frame someone when they’ve been ganking you for that small a period of time.

I’ve now played this game for a hobby since TBC on and off with the longest break being little more than a year. I haven’t really experienced any ganking as severe as my rookie days. How? Basic application of acquired game logic.

When I used to smoke, I’d actually light a cig when someone ganked me, even once. It worked 9/10 times. They’d lose interest.

@Korok

“Stranglethorn Vale”… Yeah… i remember that.
It was really bad indeed.

But like i said multiple times before by now
I do realize that some people are just a-holes and there will always be a-holes.
And by now, pretty much the only things i could do is either

  • Get my main character
  • Get a friend or guildie to help me

And if for some reason, none of those is possible,
then the only option would be to just turn off warmode

well 1 thing is killing someone once and other thing is corpse camping , well but still i feel that most of time in world pvp players just chase ppl who are much weaker and no one attack someone of their own size and that should be reworked , that every player have pvp rating when u die that u loose rating and when u kill that u get rating and that u are on the map with ppl with similar pvp rating i mean world pvp rating

Lol…

Turn off wm mode, talk over.

Honey, let me impart some wisdom on you.
“If it’s red, it’s dead.”
If you don’t like world PvP, disable it. Problem solved.

Okay, i’m gonna say something 1 more time in short.

Believe it or not, i honestly don’t really mind world PvP as well as getting killed.
I know it’s part of the game. But (and you can like it or not) corpse camping up to an extend where you camp someone for 45 minutes straight, is just plain ridiculous and low.

I mean, yeah, sure, i could turn off warmode and i WILL do that if i’ve had enough from now on,
it does’nt change the fact that people who resort to things like that are 1 of the lowest kind.

Simply put (and you may like it or not):
Killing is one thing… Corpse camping is another.

But i guess there are always gotta be people that have to be an a-hole.
I honestly don’t think i could ever change that.

No it is fine. In his mind he may have kept killing you in the hope you would call in some reinforcements to start some world pvp.

If your patient enough someone will usually turn up and help you. That’s my experience anyway.

Just use the group channels unless you are in a quiet zone and then try get a guildie to help. Failing that log into a character in SW and ask for help, someone will usually answer, on RP realms anyway.

you are biggest hole here. You waste Gm’s time, and also waste here ours to talk about something that is completely fine for PVP.

learn something from this.

That’s not exactly a nice thing to say nor is it very constructive now, is it?

I mean, i don’t mind people commenting on a certain matter
but how you responded is certainly NOT the way.

I am only human. We all are, i do make mistakes sometimes. We all do,
but did u honestly expect, i would see that as some kind of advise when you put something like that?

except you cursed 10 times here on your own topic. I didnt.

I don’t recall myself cursing and/or swearring.
If i did, either the comment or the whole topic would be deleted by now
as that too would be against the code of conduct.

Blizzard LITERALLY gives you an option to turn warmode on and off, yet you still complain about being ganked? If you don’t like PvP and all the unfair advantages you can have, then turn it off…

except a-hole is offensive curse word.
