they recently datamined corrupted ashbringer connected to new time rift. ian said way back that blizzard will not introduce corrupted ashbringer and they changed names on the other items from naxxramas, here is the funny part after alot of complaints and the trolling with the corrupted ashbringer item quest. if you followed the datamined the last 2 days you can now see that the actual reward from the sins of ashbringer quest is the corrupted ashbringer but they changed the name so it wont be the original im fine with that but latest update they changed the name to azmourne´s corrupted ashbringer as reward, and it seems to be connected to achievments to people having t3 to be able to get it, any thoughts? my concern is if they go that way its only to make more money that means we without T3 needs to get it from black market and full t3 set is gold cap minimum plus months of camping and thats alot of wow tokens
i don’t think they will put t3 to trading post it would make black market useless for many players recolors is possible tho
from the name, Azmourne, it seems to be a more… Murloc-themed version.
If so, I imagine everyone will be disappointed lol, just like with the Void-version of Gorehowl we got in SOO
aye they might change colors abit on it to distinguish it from the original one, im fine with that that way they can introduce it again without insulting people who got the corrupted ashbringer way back, with changing it abit and changing the name. like a replica of some sort.
Or it’s just an item among many that you turn in for the achievement.
Temporal Acquisitions Specialist - Achievement - 10.1.5 PTR (wowhead.com)
nah thats old datamining, the reward for turning in sins of the ashbringer is azmournes corrupted ashbringer, and wanna pin point that azmourne has nothing to do with murlocs its actual scourge themed murlocs has their own called azmerloth thats datamined as murloc specific time rift. azmourne time rift is the scourge alternative universe where they won and there will even be a tabard reward from it. victorious scourge tabard.
The Sins of the Ashbringer - Quest - 10.1.5 PTR (wowhead.com)
You mean this quest where the reward doesn’t reward an item you can equip? Feel free the link the equippable ashbringer otherwise.
yes thats the point any thoughts? they changed it from another reward it used to be another reward from the quest sins of ashbringer that you got from the corrupted ashbringer quest item, you understand? they are doing something and are not finnished.
It already is.
you already have so many better versions of ashbringer from Legion that it doesnt matter at this point.
Many in the community would disagree
While I’m also aboard the copium train just like you I’m still somewhat reluctant. They indeed added a requirement for “something” with the FoS T3 acquisition achievement.
But there’s still no actual proof that it may have something to do with the “new” Corrupted Ashbringer, there’s no connection at all this far. Apart from the headcannon Post by Icyveins.
I’m deliberately hoping and begging they’re adding it, it’s the weapon i’ve always wanted. But I’m afraid the only thing we’re ending up with is some gold, reputation and designers at blizz HQ laughing at their cruelly designed nod to the Corrupted Ashbringer.
Seems incredibly silly to pander to people with t3 which is such a low amount and would just make people upset for no reason.
I believe they are adding it, no copium. Just rebranding it with the new name, mby a new color twist. I think they are doing it and are not finnished they want to do it without upsetting playerbase and Also not make it to easy to get. But time Will tell if i know blizzard i believe they Added the corrupted ashbringer quest the way they did to see players reaction if they have a green go to put it in the game again somehow
On one hand they have added a bounch of lore quests with odd requirements that when met rewards something special.
dragonwrath staff, tauren totem mace
and that is just recent stuff in dragonflight.
I could see something getting tied to T3 but exactly what who knows
I could also see them find a way for people to easily obtain T3 again but who knows.
