You just have to farm echoes for days on end, and purchase different scrolls when they are up for grabs and keep them in your bags like enchanting scrolls:P

TBH I think that was done as yet another make you play metric. Instead of letting people just grind out echoes specifically for whatever corruption at whatever rank they fancied they have made it so you have to keep waiting, or make do with others in between.

I am hoping they at least have a set rotation so we can work it out after the first 4.5 week rotation.

It would have been preferable to just have them all on the vendor all the time.

Yea, its like they know how fed up people are with all the layers of RNG crap that they have to put up with but they just couldn’t help themselves…

The problem now is that, Blizzard explains very bad or not even bother to explain how things works in wow.

Are the corruptions on a fix rotation, or just random selection? nobody knows, no information in game, and no explanation or whatever.

The vendor was introduced in a hotfix/weekly maintenance, with less than 48h notice. And it was not even notified in game, but from blue post and forum.

For people who doesn’t regularly visit website or forum, they would not even know all these changes (corruption vendor, essence price, echoes gain, etc.) to prepare it accordingly.

The fact that people don’t get any of these information in game itself is ridiculously bad. And this happens more and more often. Blizzard is too lazy to explain to players how things work in game.

Except if you check the patch notes, it’s only 8.3. Nothing about this new changes.

I second you. Not all players know that there is a corruptions vendor. Blizzard never explainer that in-game.

How come players can catch up with changes in the game?! The system is broken and Blizzard should come up with a notification process/system in-game, not through forums!

how dare you to say its bad. its the perfect system they created to keep the subs up. as you can see here

They just cant let go of this RNG on top of RNG.

These MAU´s focused decisons when planning the game is horrendous.

So much RNG …

The best way with the corruption vendor was to introduce new currency and have them all unlocked, but they did not.Currently its not bad,but i would argue they should add more corruptions as the rotation is moving forward.

clever isn’t it?
Echoes are limited
players getting scared they miss their corruption rotation and will farm the very limited sources 24/7
as a result the MAUs go through the roof because it is genius you that you only get 200 echoes for 40 mins worth of a mid high dungeon run.

You are surprising why they do that?
MAUs would tank into oblivion if they would not do something in Q2 and Q3 because there will be no WOW releases at all. Naturally without content and patches, the MAUs would be on an all time low. If that would happen investors go belly up and smash the Ion man

This vendor rotation trash will save Q2 MAUs
SL prepatch will boost Q3 and SL release will boost Q4.

it is all pretty predictable and a good choice from business perspective.

Well they could also just implement some fun and good repeatable content, BUT that would require work so that went out of the window since WOD

Or, is a band aid fix for the echoes fiasco where you have people with 30K on vendor day 1 available, and people with 0.

It’s also not “random” than in the 2 first rotation the biggest hit in corruption weren’t available.
No big crit / big mastery for mage and hunters, no IS, no TD, no GW.
Only minor stuff not that desirable except versa 3 this round for pvp guys.

The first round was totally bis with Ineff R1 for me as a hpala though. We basically want to go 270-310% ineff in raids, and 90% in dungeons. (and i never had seen any of those corruptions yet). And my friend warrior has now haste corruption.

This is what you get with a rotation vendor. Some get their corruption in week 5 the other in week 1. And when you start on 0 echoes you maybe have to wait for 6 weeks.

I do not really care about the not resetting echoes. But it is just rushed by blizzard. They could have forsee the trouble for mains without any echoes, and just prevented this crap with creating a new currency.

I’m working on a wait and see method with the vendor, I have keeping track of what each vendor has offered and we also mirror what the US get. So when the first 4.5 week rotation is done we’ll see.

It would seem more logical for it to be a set rotation rather than RNG but who knows.

I was not a fan of it being a currency that most mains have been excluded from gathering, or anyone that just bought all the essences and stopped earning.

5000 gold says random
Personally I feel like the vendor sales per week will become yet another weekly source of forum drama
Right next to Emissary’s and chest rewards not giving upgrades because Corruption muddied the water even further then RNGforging could hope for

Just another change that makes you go ‘it’d be really nice if not for…’

The “but who knows” is exactly the problem nowadays.

Why doesn’t Blizzard just tell players how it works, instead of letting people wait and guess?

What is so hard for them to clarify some important information in game?

I guess communication is too hard for Blizzard.
