Even based on the name, I expected more from this mount. They could give it some sort of stars flying around. A nice recolour. Perhaps make it more spectral-style. There’s so much they could’ve done to make it cool and befitting the name, even if they were to stick to this particular dragon model!

but no, they never made a mount that had a different effect than previous mounts of the same expansion. so they won’t make it “celestial with stars”, or what so ever.
They did make significantly different recolours that felt unique, from what a quick google search tells me. The SL mounts, on the other hand? They’re so similar that I can barely tell them apart.
Even a celestial-like recolour would’ve fit into the theme of the season, but still make it way different while still maintaining the ‘bone dragon’ aesthetic. Just look at the differences between Celestial Steed and Invincible. Their models are very similar, but the feels of those mounts are way different.

9.2 KSM Deep Red mount looks godlike compared to this, and one of the few mounts I felt a deep desire to get. Shouldn’t glad mounts be the same? Guess not, it’s just pvp lol.

Dunno, most of them not exlusive or slightly modified/recolored. I understand people will use it, cuz it show their “PvP status”, but anyway.
Not really though, way too many people get them, it’s nothing special. Back in the day yes, but nowadays everyone is a “Gladiator” and the title+mount lost it’s prestige.
But in old good times it a was a business of tittles on sale. Now people at least have motivation to play after 2100 - its a good point tho. Now a lot of players can grind it - in the past it was almost impossible - u can take it in 3 ways mostly - 1) buy account with title 2) pay them real money for “coaching” (wintrade) or if some of multi-glads grabs you into their little comp RMT party and help to take.
Or just git gud?
Yes, many people bought coach/boost for title, wintrading also sometimes happened, but most glad mounts were earned the legitimate way. You act like it was impossible to get 0.5% glad without cheating, but that’s far from the truth.
Even people just starting out with PvP were able to get a 0.5% glad drake within a season or two of tryharding.
No, cuz most of spots was multi-glads alts. They just playing this game 14-16 hrs per day. Also only in the middle of Legion expansion 3-rd party programs like Honor Body was goes away.
Nah man, that’s simply not true. I’m one of those guys who took spots with alts (e.g. in last season of legion I got glad with 4 chars) and I don’t play 14-16h/day. WoW isn’t even my main hobby.
0.5% glad was not easy to get, that’s why it was prestigious, but it was far from being impossible to get legitimately.
Idk, maybe or mb not. I know that Honor Body was a thing for many-many years. And very slightly little part of users get a ban for this custom bot. People even say openly that they using it for example for grind and never get banned for 3-4 years.
the mount itself is nice but the recolours are so lame. all 3 season mounts look exactly the same. Why not make one black, one RED and the last one gold or something. So that you can see the difference. Imagine this mount being 70% in gold or something wow wow wow
