Now this may sound crazy at first but hear me out.
Frost death knights learned from a lich, who likely had alot of arcane knowlege and they clearly tap into the power of the blue dragonflight these days.
So clearly, arcane would be a viable additional theme for the frost death knight, what that could open up for it, who knows.
That actually does not sound that bad, and truth be told when i first saw the SL trailer i immediately thought “maybe 4th spec for DK is coming themed after Bolvar? Fire Death Knight or something?” Arcane spec for Dk could potentially be very nice, if handled properly.

much like fire DKs, it could work but i just dont see fiting it as a full playable spec.
Arcane thematically makes no sense for a frost DK.
I think it can make sense, considering the Frost-DK trainer is a Lich, and Liches are (i think) mostly former mages. Why not bring a little more magic into the mix, and go full battlemage, if by now most of our hard hitting physical attacks are gone.
DKs are using runes tho~ dunno if its the same. Litches could teach DKs how to use their magical swords as source of power and how to engrave runes but not necessarily how to use arcane.
We were supposed to die with destruction of runeweapon till it was retconned~ right? We are like some fancy samurais using our weapon-souls to fight with enemies. Like~ Bleach

Death knights could just engrave arcane runes on their blade tho, so they pretty much have everything covered throught the use of runes.
Nah, that’s just the “second gen” DKs, aka fallen Paladins who sold their souls to Ner’zhul in exchange for immortality and power. Their souls were connected to their vampiric runeblades.
