Could it be Uther who broke the Shadowlands?

The way you phrased it reminded me of when I put peanuts in my mixer the other day. Caused it to stop working lmao.

Maybe Arthas’ armor is made of peanuts

Given that Patrick Seitz is credited for work done on one of these shorts I think we can safely assume that the screaming Orc in the teaser was Garrosh who famously perished in WoD.

And since we know for a fact that the victims on Teldrassil went straight to the Maw we can sort of pin point the time to when the Machine of Death broke to…

At some point during Legion.

Patrick Seitz voices Arthas too.

But who voices Patrick Seitz?

Oh, got me there.

I’d still put my money on Legion though. Maybe when Sylvanas made that deal with Helya.

Ah, kinda forgot about Garrosh in that cinematic.

I suppose that’s the most likely.

What exactly did Helya do though? I’m not exactly an expert on her lore

Also with Garrosh, Sire Denathrius has a deal with the Jailer where he sends the anima reserves of Revendreth straight into the Maw in return for being allowed his pick at the souls which enter the Shadowlands/Maw.

That may be why Garrosh is in Revendreth.

The description for the Venthyr is ā€œThe vampiric Venthyr serve Shadowlands as those who seek out those souls weighed down by the burdens of their flaws – pride, rapaciousness, greed, apathy.ā€

The Sha of Pride was the strongest Sha in MoP and was reborn from Garrosh’s pride alone. Denathrius would definitely want him.

after watching the trailer i’m incline to believe Deveros and Uther broke it when they tossed arthas’s soul into the maw without judgement it would be like someone refusing to give you a fair trial and simply toss you in jail it sets precedence it’s quite possible that arthas’s unfair tossing into the maw broke the whole system and allowed the jailor to abuse the precedence set by the two

My final thoughts on this are that there are 2 possibilities:

A) Uther & Devos did break it and Garrosh being in Revendreth is only thanks to a deal between the Jailer and Sire Denathrius.

B) The system broke somewhere in Legion. (Maybe thanks to Helya)

C) I’m totally wrong

i dunno i think the shadowrealm spans all realities so garrosh being in revendreth is not that suprising its where souls go to atone unless i miss understood :stuck_out_tongue:

Well the thing is if Uther broke the system, Garrosh would’ve gone into the Maw instead of Revendreth, right?

no the way it works is that souls that can be salvaged always get sent to revendreth first but if the soul is irredeemable and a danger to the shadow realm they get sent to the maw

for example you’re unlikely to see gul’dan in revendreth we know Keal’thas is there atoning for his sins and we help him

Yes, I understand that. That’s the normal way of Shadowlands - Mortals die & get judged and sorted out by the Arbiter into the zones.
So what if Uther, being the first one in history to judge a soul instead of the Arbiter, actually broke the Arbiter?

I mean, since Sylvanas hadn’t goten stronger until BfA, that would mean something still had to happen in Legion. You know, maybe the Jailer was getting stronger ever since wotlk, but only Sylvanas’ deal with Helya or something idk made Sylvanas grow stronger too.

Probably not lmao.

I guess no. 1 is more likely

it’s possible that she always had a power link to the jailer but gaining this powers required a huge amount of souls being sent to the jailor after all edge of the night happen shortly after wolk so she’s had this deal for quite some time now
