Could WOW be available via Xcloud after the Microsoft acquisition?

I’ve just spotted an article¹ that contained the following quote from Microsoft:

Mobile is the largest segment in gaming, with nearly 95% of all players globally playing games on mobile. Through great teams and great technology, Microsoft and Activision Blizzard will empower players to enjoy the most-immersive franchises, like Halo and Warcraft, anywhere they want.

As only Arclight has been announced, the author thinks it unlikely that there are any further mobile Warcraft games coming soon. However, it is curious that ‘Warcraft’ and ‘mobile’ were mentioned. Could it be that we may see an officially sanctioned cloud version of WOW in a few years?

Personally I would love it as an option. It would give me something to do at night on holidays when the rest of the family are tucked up in bed.

Sounds more like a halo mobile game is coming. It’s marketing non-speak.

Most likely, and one of those twin stick shooters methinks. But still, marketing speak or not, I’m still hopeful for some WOW cloud.
