Hi! Killed the Drake, it felt onto a cliff, couldn’t loot. Old story. What I was not expected is that in response to my ticket GMs refused to recover mount, instead they suggested to report a bug. The only kinda bug issue in my story except of inaccessible corpse is that after I ran for Fetch spell to Sholazar Basin and return to the corpse, which was still there, it became unlootable, so the spell couldn’t help at all. I saw numerous posts indicating that the support can indeed recover the mount in situations like this, but now I’m not even sure that GMs understood my situation at all and that bug report will help. Still first response specifically described that “Customer Support cannot recover the mount if it is not looted.” I used legit char, not a trial class, no party, no gray health, just strait solo loot. Is there any chance to recover the mount at all, or am I doomed for some reason while other players were able to get help in the exact same situation?
They used to be able to help out but after some while they don’t, sadly enough.
This is the current policy specifically for TLPD:
Ugh, saw that, but hoped that relatively new posts aren’t misleading. Thank you anyway.
Not an end of the world, but I definitely will not camp it for another few years to pay the subscription because of technical issue. Change of policy just doesn’t make sense.
If it’s new (e.g. within 3 months) I can guess why you want another look over it. But if its “new” e.g. a year or older I think this change was already made a couple years ago to be honest.
I can remember then suggesting loot-a-rang back then too when they announced the first change.
Well, one post was from like a year ago indeed. I had this kind of issue with Poundfist back then in WoD, and also got refused to retrieve the mount through support, but I thought it was because of that insane camping with few dozens of people and server hopping. So yeah, looks like post was new only from my perspective.
blue response from another topic also involving outdated content
As such the only option for this to be resolved would be for developers to go back and fix the original bug, which seems unlikely given that, as you pointed out, it’s been around for quite some time already.
and now the situation in which OP has found themself in
Fix suggestions? Make use of Postmaster as delivery method for missed loot or trigger Push Loot on kill (as used for bonus mounts in instances) so it automatically gets sent into players’ bags. I mean to say you’ve only had 20 years to figure this problem out.
