Couldn't mount another player's 2 person mount

Anyone else had this problem?

For a long time, maybe a year or more, I had not been able to mount any other player’s 2 person mount. I assumed a bug, but didn’t open a ticket because lazy.

Today I discovered the reason I could not mount… I was left clicking instead of right clicking on the mount.

Here’s the equation to replicate this bug.

Anyone else had this or similar experience? Or is it just me :stuck_out_tongue:

When I’ve played TOR for a while and switch to WoW I consistently find myself attempting (and failing) to mount up while running. Quite frustrating. I also get the hotkey for the tradeskill window mixed up between the two.

That’s a good one, but I am still way in the lead.

When people wanted me to help summon, I would click on the stone…when they were doing that already.

It took someone to advise me to click the portal to help them :exploding_head:

I still don’t fully understand portals hehe!

There’s always a period of adjustment I go through when I fire up WoW after pouring a bunch of time into a new Diablo season. I end up trying to click to move and wonder why I’m not going anywhere, or right-clicking enemies and wondering why my main ability isn’t going off

That’s a good one!

But still no one has reached my op level of brain fade yet. If it’s just me at that level, that’s an achievement of sorts!

Oh ye, does anyone else sometimes run around on foot because they forgot they can mount?

When I started, I mostly played casters. Tried a melee class and my boyfriend told me that if I right-clicked a mob it would auto-attack. So I thought I needed to right-click every time I wanted to auto-attack. My poor mouse…

Haha good one!

That moment when you realize you’re doin it wrong:
A. Feelin silly even if no one else knew.
B. Happy that you figured it out!

Or wishing no one knew because you turned to your boyfriend one day and said “it’s so annoying that you have to click to auto-attack all the time, isn’t it?” He’s teased me about it ever since…

Mind you, we still all tease him about the fact that he once spent hours and hours fishing during Legion to get the last rare item he needed, only to discover that it wasn’t dropping because he’d already fished it up and put it in his bank…

Ah lol, yup - people have really long memories when it comes to teasing!

Shortly after I started adventuring on this World of Warcraft I got a dungeon quest on Stormwind. This was my first time getting a dungeon quest and it would be my first dungeon. So I immediately opened the map to check where I had to, Silverpine Forest. That looked like a stretch, but fortunately I also had a quest to go to Loch Modan, that cut some of the way.

So I got into the flight path, and when I landed on Loch Modan I decided to do the only logical thing and quest my way to Silverpine. After a while I began to question this game. Why was the dungeon so far away, and there were so many quests to get there  Even being new to the game I knew that if I didn’t do the quest soon enough the reward would be worthless. I mean, I was already level 30 by now.

After much walking and questing, I finally reached Arathi Highlands. There were two forsaken guards blocking my way. But I took a deep breath and brave the challenge. Finally, after defeating the mobs I got for the first time into enemy territory, and was almost instantly one-shot. I was shocked, SHOCKED I tell you. I was at the graveyard wondering how I could possibly reach the dungeon, when it dawn on me that I should probably google it. And so I discovered the dungeon finder

Reminds me of when I was new, I thought summoning worked by 2 people targeting the same person and then pressing the stone. I was always impressed by how people always managed to select the same person as me, even when I said nothing.

Oh man, that thought probably crossed my mind as well. You’d have thought Blizz would implement a tiny scenario to teach us how to summon by now.

Oh well.

There is a bug that prevents you from mounting a party members 2 person mount though with all said. It always happens after me and my gf do some of the quests in zandalar, specifically the end quest where you have to control a void t-rex.
On completion I can see my character standing still on her screen whilst i run about on mine. It’s as though my character is frozen to her.
Relogging is the only thing tat seems to solve it
Other quests simply prevent her from using the mount, so it’s relog time again

I think I’ve run into that one actually. We were also in Zandalar, so probably the same quest. Everything looked fine for me but not for her.
