How do you win vs demo lock carries in 2s? How do you counter his go/what does he need to do before pressing insta demon bolt 3 times for 25k? And how do you kill him with 1 min cd defensive, port, peeling ecc

decimating bolt is what you need to watch out for, 45s cd. either kick it or react to it with defensives. you can use every defensive on decimating bolt windows because demo is 100% useless damage wise outside of it.

They can only do big dmg during tyrant go, basically the more pet they cast and the most demon bolt dmg will be high.

The solution is to prevent him casting a lot and if in case you can’t line instantly if you got no CD or ground/reflect etc…

Also if you kill the pet (and cna purge feldom) he is most likely dead.

No for necro as well, the setup is exactly the same as affli they can only os with darglare, outside of that deathbolt do like 20 25k dmg.
Same goes for demon bolt outside of tyrant go (cause it increase the duration of pet and you can cast more in between the window).

not sure in what world guaranteed 2-3x 25k demonbolt crits every 45 seconds is small damage, and tyrant buffing those to 30k (on the condition that you don’t get kicked or cc’d) is suddenly big damage. it’s dangerous nevertheless, tyrant or not.

So how does the lock go look like? coil+fear/pet stun into demon bolt, tyrant, triple demonbolt? What is making the demonbolt instant, is it a pvp talent or something? How do you trade cds with him when my burst cd is 1min and can’t kill him trough the shield? If i stay in line after the stun ends he stuns into oneshot combo and if i line the pets are enough to destroy me…do i have to kill the pet twice before trying to kill or something? Necro MM hunter

Proccs and a talent that you can use to give you 2 proccs when you want them (30 sec CD, also buff the dmg of 2 proccs by 30%). Power Siphon I think it is called.

I was rank 1 female dwarf demolock in 2s, might still be (which means 2100). CC on healer and stun on DPS is what I did. Sometimes coil into fear on healer or stun and coil on dps, depends what my healer could contribute with.

If you know he has Decimating Bolt buff and you recently saw him use dogs before CC-ing you it is likely you are about to take damage.

So it’s demon core and the dogs that i can look out for, thanks, still a problem on how to kill but at least now i know when to juke

I’ve never said it was low dmg, just saying compared to the usual 30 40k you can take you got time to react to it (even if it’s still stupid).

Thing is most of people I q with have no clue how it works so basically they are scared everytime the guy cast decimating and barely do anything cause they think they will die all the time.

The less the mock cast the lowest the dmg will be.

Are people forgetting that even 12k hits is 20% of somebody’s hp?
25k is half a one shot, that’s definitely not bad damage.

Sure but I mean in sl it’s common to see that outside of long CD. =D

2 things;

  1. Look for his Tyrant goes. Without Tyrant, his demonbolt is not going to hit for 25k. The damage of the Demonbolt is amplified by the number of active demons he has. Normally, demons expire but Tyrant extends the amount of time demons will be active.

Thus, he casts dogs, 5-6 imps, extends them with Tyrant, dogs again, a few more imps again and while all of them are active, he sends the demonbolts.

Thus, during his “Tyrant” go, decimating bolt buffed demonbolts will hit extra hard. He will usually start casting the demonbolts after the 2nd dogs because they apply “From the Shadows” which increases demonbolt dmg by 20%.

During this go; use a big defensive. OR! the moment you see the Tyrant, run around the pillar for 10 to 15 seconds and wait these demons to just run out of time and disappear.

  1. If he casts demonbolt on its own, without Tyrant, max. they are going to hit is 12-13 maybe 15k. Which isn’t too much of a deal, you can use a minor defensive there.

I play demo like bfa destro and pillar hug on cds and avoid tyrant and look for darkglare. God I hate zoo specs

If you think Demo is broken now (it is and i hate facing it) just wait for 9.2 when they delete 90% of your healthbar with one Demonbolt alone. :slight_smile:
