Counterplay to rogues? one shot in 1 stun

how can i counter rogues, so that this stuff here is not gonna happen again?

trinket and icebound fortitude was on CD but i mean: really? 3 seconds and i have no chance of counterplay? nothing i could do. this is just insane, and i have decent gear i would like to say. i am enchanted, i have 199 equipped i think

Only sub rogues can counter sub rogues. They should get their own queue and BGs,it would be hilarious. Imagine WSG…its empty and the only thing you can hear is the wind. Then someone gets spotted in stealth, stunkilled,and another one and another one. It would look like a bigscale catfight on drugs.

If a rogue uses all CD’s & you use none… you should die really…

BUT… there damage in general is absurd.

Does Anti magic shell adsorb shadowblades damage? this with icebound fortitude should keep you going & save trinket for the blind re stealth stun.

like i said. i had no trinket and no icebound up. i died in the opening stun. even when he uses all CDs he should not be able to take away 100% of someones health in 3 sec

I’m sure Antimagic shield absorbs shadow damage, but THIS damage is beyond ridiculous. Leech selfheal numbers, “You died” and “You have been awarded 10 honor” made me smile tho :rofl:

as far as i see it, it’s the new “one shot” finisher with ranged shadowstrike and prebuffs

Literally rogue used all, you had nothing (due to cd), that’s how it works.
At least you could go for deathpact, ams / amz whatever, that would mitigate some.

how can i mitigate if i dont get out of the stun? i was stunned and died cause i had no stunbreak. nobody should be able to kill another player in 3 seconds mate. regardless if they have no defensive up. i could not press a single ability cause i was stunned till i was dead. dont know how hard it is to understand that

I don’t agree with the argument that a rogue who has cooldowns ready should be able to kill someone without their cooldowns ready with zero chance of counterplay. In the arena this isn’t such a huge issue, as you’ll mostly have a chance to prepare, counteract, save your trinkies and cooldowns for appropriate situations etc, but in a BG situation, you’ll frequently have to trinket against other effects, only for a rogue to then get instant guaranteed wins against you.

Should you feel forced to play without ever using defensives or your trinket against anyone else because there’s a rogue on the enemy team? No.
If you don’t have a trinket or defensives, people should have a way easier time to kill you, of course, but it shouldn’t be a case of “you’ll only survive if all your cooldowns are available”.

Sub is a poorly designed spec for PvP. It’s not possible to balance their CC with damage, either it’s way too good and turns into a Classic-style single player game where only the rogue is playing, or it turns into the rogue uselessly tickling their target and relying on their team to do all the damage.

roll ret do retarded damage and healing and have multiple bubbles for back up…

I dont want to play ret cause it is on the same stupidly broken level. Just cause ret beats rogue doesn’t mean rogues dont need a nerf

Ret beats everything currently, other than maybe monk or ferals depending on if theres a pillar in the scenario. Basically the S tier plus class of casual PVP rn.

I agree but that does not justify that rogues kill you in 3 sec. It just has no place in pvp. If you get engaged out of stealth and die in one stun, how is that a fun experience?

Only people I’ve seen die in 3 seconds are the same people who don’t want to trinket kidney shot during vendetta.

As I stated before I used trinket and ice bound fortitude in a fight before. They were on cooldown. You honestly want to tell me that killing someone in 2 global while they cant even press a single button is your definition of balanced game mechanics?

Defend your broken spec all you want. Nerfs are gonna come your way and I hope they come sooner than later. I am all for a faster paced meta. But killing someone in 2 global cooldowns is just wrong

It is a fun experience for the Rogue.

Yeah, it should be 1, like balance druids do.

If u get globalled in 2 gcds as a death knight, its a l2p issue.

Nothing to see here guys, just bad players. Rogue is strong when theyve got their cds. If they don’t, theyre weak as hell atm
