I know my previous question was for feral but after trying it im just not enjoying like i used so ganna go balance.
My question is what covenant to go as I’m reading guides and its saying that night fae and venth are pretty strong is there anyone that knows if it makes a huge difference in damage as I really don’t like the sound of venth’s ability and much prefer night fae.
Just would like some answers form people that have tried both as if there isn’t a massive damage reduction between the 2 ill stay night fae.
If you prefer night fae, I would stick with it. The difference in damage is minimal. On sims, venthyr comes out ahead, but it’s much more difficult to play around.
With the venthyr legendary, you do massive dps for about 30 seconds every 3 minutes, and the rest of the time you’re mediocre. Whether that’s useful to you depends on the kind of content you do and who you do it with.
Night fae gives you more sustained damage, and convoke is a ‘press and forget’ ability that you don’t have to think too much about.
Interestingly, the world first Sylvanas kill had 0 Venthyr boomies, but 4 Fae ones. Even more interestingly, Limit’s Max said on stream that if he can give one tip to guild masters and raid leaders: don’t allow their moonkins to play Venthyr.
Don’t compare yourself or casual players to them. I am just saying what I can see from my perspective. Ventyr is ahead VS Fae in terms of dps. In fights like painsmith I had better dps than Ventyr but still. They get me in any other fights. And the difference is significant.

Venthyr is potentially higher, yes. But if any mechanics happen during frenzy, you’re screwed. It’s great if you can pump the whole duration, yeah. That happens way less in practice than on paper.
Nevertheless, if 4 fae boomies are good enough for a world first, then playing Fae for the ease is fine enough anyway.
