So, with the transportation networks upgrade number 3, it unlocks a portal from your coventant to Oribos. However it’s not specified that’s a ONE WAY portal. There’s no portal from Oribos to your covenant.
I feel cheated. I spend so much time farming anima and souls, for this… Blizz, please add a portal the other way around just like the other portals, and just like class halls in legion. This makes NO SENSE
Because you’re suppose to “enjoy the scenery” while sitting on an automated mount taking you from point A to point B. So you port to Oribos and get the enjoy the lovely scenery on the way back.
Blizzard calls this “content”, the time you spend on the automated mount. So enjoy your content.
Thought same… but having 15min HS in covenant works fine.
It does not work fine. The upgrade isn’t worded correctly. You have to read in between the lines, or the “portal TO oribos” quite literally. This was a huge grind… Took me months, for it to be something almost useless
Well, for me at least the tooltip says ‘‘Adds a portal to Oribos within the Heart of the Forest.’’
Maybe we’ve come to expect portals to be two way, but it only mentions one way.

Thats not purpose of travel time. Travel time exist to create sense of scale and the living breathing world. But hey i cant expect someone who do not like rpg games even when he plays one understand this.
Strangely enough of all the RPG games I’ve played, WoW feels smallest. And those other MMOs have quick travel. Might be because once on the FP you tab out and do other things.

Doubt as much as you like, doesn’t matter. Most people don’t sit and watch the scenery when on a FP. That’s what a second monitor is for.
You are not supostu watch scenery. It creates in your brain sense of scale for world you play in.
So? The other portals also state “Adds a portal to House of Rituals” and the portal works both ways, like most ANY OTHER PORTAL in the game
It literally does as it says. It says it adds a portal to Oribos in your sanctum.
Did it?.. Did it really tho? Judging by how long the game has been out, i get the feeling this statement is quite hyperbolic
i think op meant weeks not months. 
the “feeling of size” would be much more interesting if it wasn’t just 5 tiny islands strung together with a slightly animated loading screen, I mean ffxiv and gw2 have huge worlds that have loading screens for every map and instant teleport and yet they feel huge and varied…
Personally I’m extremely happy about that portal.
I absolutely hate that flight from my covenant zone to others. That flight from venthyr covenant place to oribos takes a while by itself. I used to take covenant portal to closest fp to exiting the zone just to shorten that flight a bit.
Now I can actually go strainght to oribos! Whoa! It still takes short ride to the portal up, but its much quicker.
Its QOL feeling that saves me a few minutes at best, but it feels good. I can also quickly get to SW portal, if I want to go to AH.
I enjoy that this is your biggest issue right now in the world. Many would envy you!
And not only that.
the portal also brings you to the outer ring of oribos, so
you still need to mount up, run to the teleport to get to the upper ring
and then you can finally use the flight master.
its actually faster to just use the dalaran hearthstone and enter oribos
from orgrimmar.

It says “Establishes a portal to Oribos within Elysian Hold”. It says “TO Oribos”, it doesn’t say to and from, not once did I assume it meant a portal to and from Oribos. I literally thought it mean there will be a portal in Elysian hold to Oribos only and I can finally set my HS to oribos instead of Elysian.
