Kinda, yes.
Once you reached renown on any character, all current and future characters can freely change covenants. However, renown is covenant-bound, so when you switch to a covenant your character has not gained renown with, you’ll start at one. But when you switch back, you’ll have your renown with that covenant as you left it.
Furthermore, to unlock soulbinds, you need to have that particular covenant’s 9.0 campaign completed on any character before. If you have, then the soulbinds will be obtainable without doing the campaign again.
Yes, you can. You can start researching a building for a covenant, switch to another, start research there, etc, and they will all continue researching, even when you’re not part of that particular covenant.
Do keep in mind that rescued souls and anima are covenant bound, so you’ll have to either transfer anima between covenants, or farm it for them all, and you’ll have to collect the souls for each covenant separately, they’re not shared.
You can take your anima with you now, be the covenant you want to remove it from, go to the NPC by the flight path in Oribos. Buy up as much Anima as you want to transfer. Swap covenant then go dump it in their reservoir.

So i can go ravendreth as a venthyr, switch to fae for ardenwald and do rares and stuff w/o second character?
Yea you don’t have to make another character. Once you have renown 80 with the covenant of your choice, you’ll be able to switch any time without timegating AND be able to transmog the covenant’s gear anywhere you want.
I’d suggest the one you like the most in terms of special items like hearthstone/exclusive toys etc.).
One more thing for transmog, you can mix covenants transmogs but if you only have one covenant at 80, you’ll need to switch to the one with less than 80 to find their transmogs on your collection. If you switch back, the transmogs on your armor stay of course.
Personally I’m aiming for Venthyr + Maldraxxus at 80. So I can use the cosmetics anytime and won’t have to go back to Oribos to transmog.
