Covenants being old content and in an expansion a lot didn’t like, there is zero reason not to make them war-bound. not making them war-bound hints to me that under the hood, the devs have not changed and it will only be a matter of time before they slip back to their old ways.

But its so easy to get max level renown per SL conven’s its a none issue to be fair. And next patch all renwon its going warbound
Where does it say Covenants will be warbound? just faction reps. and i don’t want to have to take my main back to finish off shadowlands but as it stand i have to.

For clarification, Covenant Renown (Kyrian, Necrolord, Night Fae, Venthyr) is not becoming Account-Wide and will remain character-specific. You can see the full list of newly Warbound reputations below:
If you ever wish to have legion class specific class hall titles or mounts or artifact weapon skins or druid forms you have to do grind in old content and for some skins you need legion rep grind and balance of power quest chain in old content, theres more stuff locked behind old content in legion than in shadowlands for covenants I think, but anyways it is what it is

Tbh you just want it easy but you have to earn it like we all did back then, sucks i know but thats the way of it.
Be nice if anima items for Cov were warbound.
The conversion to send then to alts is still a bit convoluted.
The issue isn’t the renown. It’s stuff like abom factory and the NF garden.
and you’ll get it all in remix…
I would assume it’s likely a technical issue that prevents easy implementation.
My suggestion is they change the renown catchup item for alts to bring you to max renown 80 instead of just 60.
