Craft legendary now or wait for 9.1

Simple question, is it worth crafting a legendary now or is it better to save the soul ash for now and wait for 9.1?

Knowing Blizzard it probably wont be worth the struggle to to cap soul ash before 9.1 hits.

Torghast will probably give 10-20x more soul ash in 9.1 and legendary prices will be 10-20x times higher as well, meaning that capping 8k soul ash before 9.1 means relatively little.

There is no cap anymore.

No one knows. They haven’t said a single thing on Soul Ash or legendaries. PTR is not up yet, should be there… next week? Then we’ll probably know something. Yet it’ll still might be a subject to change.

I just hope they don’t add new legendaries or make them cost more soul ash. It’s pointless. Let people cap their soul ash and craft all the legendaries they want and be done with it.

No but in recent times they have made holding on to currency useless by either changing it (enhanced soul ash anyone?) or increasing numbers 10 fold.

well its up to you its fine to have a 210 or 215 ilvl one atm
and maybe atleast 190 r1 for one alt
if you have a guildie or friend who has the prof to make them
it depends if your server has people to bid/buy the craftable base item+missives

DON’T give them ideas!!!

Shot the lil’ mechanikal freak in the head

Bad tecnological abomination, bad! Blizzard might hear you and implement it!!!

You will have another 4 ranks for legendary items. They will add another 8 layers to torgats with inflated soulash like 10-20x more what you will get from torgast and crafting will new ranks will also need 10x-20x more of soulash so non of stockpiled soulash from 9.0 will make you craft legendary ranks faster.

9.1 is expected around july afaik, so craft it if you intend to play

Simple question: is the legendary going to improve your current activities in wow? If yes: do you intend to continue these activities until the next patch? If yes: just craft it.
You might as well not play until last patch of expac with your mindset otherwise, because all gear is going to get better (or changed/updated/buffed/nerfed) by then and there will be catch-up mechanisms in place.

Craft your legendary now, It won’t be worth the wait for 9.1, knowing Blizzard, You would need 3 months worth of Soul Ash farm, for the next Patch upgrade.

9.1 is most likely a minimum of 3 months away.
That’s a very long time to put yourself in the “holding off until…” phase. You do that when there’s like 2 weeks to go.

At least craft a 210 version.

It is very likely that they will do with Soul Ash what they did with Residuum, i.e. inflate it through the roof on patch day.

Sure, maybe you can take 20k through to 9.1; but crafting a T5 legendary needs 250k, and you’ll be able to earn that in 3 weeks, just like everyone else. Now that 20k you worked hard for doesn’t even shorten the time.

Craft your legendary. I have 3 on my main, plus 1-2 on every alt. It ain’t that hard, and it is not worth backstocking.

There’s an interview with Ion where he states that soul ash won’t be used to upgrade legendaries in 9.1.

might aswell do it now, i think this domination raid gear is the next focus for them in 8.1.

cant imagine major legendary rebalancing happening

I will laugh hard, if they reset soul ash.

We already know we won’t be using soul ash in 9.1 for upgrades. They don’t want people to hoard it to get an advantage. Either that or they up the prices by a poopton that it makes no difference if one hoards now or not

Sounds about right ye.

They will replace it with ‘Not-Soul-Ash’ and make us grind again.
