100k later, I realize, this was not the sword I was looking for as a Rogue. Am I stupid? Yes, I am, but answer me this: Why was the system designed in such a way that I can create a soulbound item that is useless for my class, which for good measurement has the EXACT same icon as the one I wanted? I am unsure if I should send a ticket, because I am pretty sure Blizz will either ignore it or say it’s nothing they can do.
What a horrible system.
Image of how the view looks as a user that is looking for a weapon, and what I ended up with: “https ://ibb.co /cL45k0S”
(remove spaces to get the correct url).
all on yourself before creating the item see what you are going to create so YOU made the Mistake not the game, you are just wanna find a reason to justify your own mistake
But what is the logic? Same game icon, same design (it is the same visual model) and it’s within the usable weapon category - there is literary no reason why there should be a int weapon in the usable category. Furthermore, no one is denying that the user is an idiot, but why justify a bad system? All the stats are exactly the same, the only difference visually is that one line is barely grayed out as its int instead of the agi counterpart. If anything recraft should offer an option to recraft the main stats.
Also about checking: Beforehand I went through the categories (axes, maces, fists etc.) and based on that I chose swords as I liked how it looked (weapons are the same in general), only visual changes). I open sword menu, and for a second I am a bit confused what is what, but I honestly believed I chose a agi version. But again, why fill a list with “do not click here” weapons that only serve as… well I don’t even know why they are there.
They tooltips are exactly the same, icons are the same, visuals are the same - the only difference is one small line that is greyed out due to wrong stats. Even the crafter didn’t notice this and was a surprised as me.
But what does a caster weapon do in a personal crafting menu for the rogue class? If it was bind on equipt I see the point, but it is soulsbound and intended for class / character use.
If it makes you feel better: I crafted the wrong sword for the first time as well. Now I have the one I wanted originally and I will craft its pair soon. It is not the end of the world, though I can understand your frustration. At least I still got a first craft bonus, 3 skill points and some artisan’s mettle for it. If you run dungeons, mythic+ then you should be able to get enough primal chaos in a week to craft the other sword. I got mine in 2 weeks through solo play. Good luck!
