To summarize what happened, I reached renown 14 with both the Valdrakken Accord and the Dragonscale Expedition, both giving the same Crafter’s Knowledge reward. At the Dragonscale camp the NPC had two quests that each gave me 5 points for each of my professions, Jewelcrafting & Mining.
However, the NPC in Valdrakken only had a singular quest for Mining. I have seen a few bug report posts of people saying that they are only receiving KP for one of their professions. It does not appear to only be the Valdrakken NPC as it seems to happen with the Iskaar Tuskar NPC as well.
Now I could be wrong and it may be intentional that only the Dragonscale reward gives KP for both professions, but that just seems like a extremely weird design choice, especially since we don’t get to choose which professions gets the points like with Shards of Knowledge. If it is intentional though it would be good to confirm it.
If it is a bug however, I wanted to make it more public since these one time reward KP are important for the people who want to experience the new profession system and hopefully get a fix to get our KP.

This has just occured for me.
I just got to level 14 with the Iskaara and only got 5+ herbalism book, I didn’t receive a book for Alchemy!

I think there is a weekly hardlock and you stop getting 1+ drops until reset. Last week it stopped near the end of the week.
Guessing there might be some blocker with these if you have to many points?

I doubt that is the case for two reasons. One, these are meant to be one time rewards for hitting a renown level so having a blocker on them makes no sense. Second, in my case I actually went to the valdrakken NPC first and thought it was weird that I got no choice on where my KP went. It was only after I went to the dragonscale NPC that I realized something was wrong, and did some digging online on the issue.
EDIT: To clarify further, I got both renowns to 14 at the same time, I saved up on completed quests and then handed them all in with the Darkmoon buff. So I went to these NPCs back to back within minutes of each other.
In addition to this, I receive crafter’s knowledge from 2 Renowns (Centaur and Tuskarr). Im skinning/lw.
My friend who is BS and Minning has them from 3 places. For him its everywhere but Tuskarr.
Had a similar situation happen to my Miner. My wife got a book for herbalism/Alch from Maruuk, level 14, the Carefters Knowledge I rewards. I recieved a book for my Blacksmithing but did not recieve a book for my Mining.

This is definitely a bug, I checked it out with my guildies, people with same exact professions are getting rewards from 2,3 or all factions, which makes no sense. Like I have lw and skinning and I get rewards only from iskaaran and maruuk. Other guildie with same profs is getting rewards from dragonscale also, 3rd guildie has the crafter’s knowledge I and II from all factions. So it appears to be completely random and bugged somehow.

I am currently also missing a Herbalism Knowledge 1 from the Accord. Got both Alchemy and Herbalism from Maruuk.
Will we somehow recieve the in retrospect? I hope so.

Same again for Valdrakken rank 14, I am not picking up the item.
I am Enchant/tailor and it only offers Tailoring.

Dothenos didn’t give “Crafter’s Knowledge I” for both specializations while reaching Valdrakken accord renown 14. He gives me only for 1. For reference i had Alchemy and Enchanting and he gives quest only for Alchemy and i claimed it. I unlearned alchemy and learned Tailoring and quest for tailoring popped up but i didn’t claimed it. Still no quest to claim Enchanting knowledge.

Dothenos gave me Crafters Knowledge for Blacksmithing but not for not for Leatherworking.
So according to WowHead now, it is apparently intentional? You only get a total of two Crafter’s Knowledge rewards, from two different factions, for each specific profession. If this is the case it is still weird to me because you can end up with the scenario where you get renown 14 with Valdrakken, but your professions are LW and Skinning, so you get no rewards at all leaving you confused. https://www.wowhead.com/news/earning-knowledge-points-with-renown-which-professions-for-which-faction-330436#comments
Ah, it makes sense then. So you only get the ones the reputation is specialized in.
