Crafters Mark - Season 4 Shadowlands - Patch 9.2.7 - Region Wide Auction House

Season 4 Shadowlands is about to start, and almost a week ago, they announced some changes coming and NOT coming with the start of the season. I already made another post regarding legendary and there not being more than Rank 8, this will be about crafters mark and there being no higher than 233->262, and crafted weapons!

I’d like to see crafters mark being added with higher Ilvls, for various reasons I will list, explain and make suggestions for possible solutions! I’d also in that regard like to mention with the eventual patch of 9.2.7, auction house commodities will be region wide(all of EU will share base reagents and consumables, likewise with all of NA and so forth).

I think this is a change many either love or hate, I myself am curious but want to wait and see.

I do have 1 big fear though:

With there not being any new crafters mark with Season 4 Shadowlands, it means that most professions, save the ones crafting consumables, will highly likely fade out, with them, the need for reagents and a lot of people will have very limited ways to farm. A lot of leather and ore will become close to redundant.

I fear that them already with Shadowlands Season 4 coming will become redundant fast, but the region-wide auction house will likely cement the reagents as close to meaningless.

Personally I love the Crafters mark edition to the game, as it allows Jewelcrafting, Leatherworking, Blacksmithing and Tailoring to have a place throughout the expansion, and so, I have some suggestions/ideas for how to further it, and why.

Solution 1 – New Crafters Mark

The obvious idea, is to get new crafters mark, you can make base new crafters mark at 262 ilvl, as many as you want, and then a new high as well, which of-course is limited to 1 equipment slot as before, at Ilvl 291 or such.

This would continue keeping an, I believe, healthy flow and life for the cycle of the auction house and the people participating:

Farming reagents->Crafting reagents->Crafting gear->Crafted gear being bought and used by people with gold, funneling gold into the system of and making it trickle down.

These new marks, I’d like to use 50%-200% more reagents than the ones that already are!

So the new 262, would be using same reagents, but 50% more of them, maybe even a 100% more!

The 291 new, 1 equip only, would be require at least 100% more, maybe even 200% more! Doing so would mean that the whole system of auction housing, all the way up to final product would be required, and even more than it currently is! A lot of people would be able to earn an easy coin doing a quick grind of reagents or crafting crafted reagents. The legendary material, Progenitor Essentia would be 2-3 times more used for crafting, which’d be amazing, seeing how they’øre starting to overflow, like a lot of other reagents!

I personally used to, and know a lot of people do, farm/grind base reagents to be able to buy or make their own stuff, so they could have consumables and gear for whichever content they’d want to do, or maybe making an alt that’d be ready to jump into the fray!

Another suggestion I have is, seeing how we’re entering the final season, and there is no, technical new raid tier, I’d like to see engineering and inscription included into the gear crafting cycle.

Suggestion 1: Crafted Weapons

Currently, you can craft weapons, and have them at I believe base ilvl of 100 for use at 50, and I think you can upgrade it to Ilvl 151, with use at, I think 57-58!(?)

I don’t know cause I never created them with the higher Ilvl of 151.

I’d like to see the weapons made rare, meaning they’d be able to be crafted in the exact same conditions as all the other gear slots!

Suggestion 2: Specially Crafted Weapons

Make it so that the weapons can be upgraded either using the 249 legendary item bought from the Enlightened Quartermaster, or simply allow them to use only a very specific increasing Ilvl Mark, or introduce a new mark for only weapons, that can either be bought or made!
