Crafting 639 weps week 1

So im really stuck into deciding if its worth it to craft the 639 2h with 10 heraldries or wait and get it week 3 from the conquest quest.
The issue is that waiting for week 3 is a decent disadvantage as weapon gives the most damage + when i finally get it i’ll be missing the Ascension embelishment since from my understanding it can only be placed in crafted weapons right? So whats the point of this quest if the weapon that you finally get isnt even BiS for PvP?..

It seems to me that every spec using a single 2h is at a gearing disadvantage against the dual wielders who get the advantage of both of those things (crafting wep week 1 with nerubian embelishment and getting the other one later from the quest) this is especially advantageous to a spec like Fury who uses two 2handers.

That seems very unprofessional from Blizzard’s side imo.

Unless ofc. i missed some important piece of information in here and someone can englighten me in which case please feel free to do so.

thats true.

the embelishment is good and prolly BIS but its not a gamebreaker.

basically u have to decide wether u want to be ahead the first 2 weeks by having a epic 2h as warr, or if u want to be ahead 1750 conquest (which is alot) the third week by not crafting it early.

i heard today on a stream that fury warr actually gets both weapons with the quest. somebody just said it in chat so im not sure if it really is the case.
if it is the case tho, it would also be beneficial for fury to safe the conquest. like that they get a value of 2x1750conquest the third week which would be kinda crazy.

I had this “problem” too but decided to get the weapon embelishment.

I mean yeah but the issue i have is missing the ascension embelishment will put me at a disadvantage later on as well and i’ll probably only be able to get it once the conquest cap gets turned off.

So basically i’ll be at a disadvantage not just the first 2 weeks but some of the later weeks as well.

Idk. seems kinda unprofessional from blizzard’s side to miss such a clear flaw imo.
I think we can all agree gearing process should be fair and square.

The easiest way would be to give an option to put the nerubian emblishment on the weapon from the quest but i suppose people who crafted the weps already would get mad lol (and fairly so).

Yeah i think i’ll to the same. Early advantage is always worth it besides i dont like the idea of grinding conquest later on to make sure i have that tiny advantage (in this case wep emblishment).

i have the embellishment on my other dk. i crafted it on a blue weapon 626ilvl to test it. i personally dont think that its a huge advantage. it stacks really slow and i dont see it being far ahead of for example double vers embelishment.
the top dk’s i follow all decided not to craft epic weapon but all the warrs i checked have it ye. either way will be fine in the end.

r1s are doing it = copy. turn brain off when it comes to gearing and let people who play the game as a job decide for you

I would normally agree with this but as Bic said:

So its really hard to decide plus all top wars rerolled Fury as a consequence of Blizzard giving it Arms tools (further homogenizing the specs). And i personally dont want to do that because:
A) I prefer Arms by the concept and fantasy and gameplay in general as it is literally THE Warrior spec.
B) Im almost sure Fury will get nerfed in the near future unless someone at Blizz decided Fury will be the go-to spec this xpac which is possible as we’ve seen it already happen with many classes and specs.

So its not that simple in this case.

ur right, wish we could use the recraft system for the quest weapon

nothing new when it comes to blizz

there was also a bug, where u could craft the head piece for only 4 tokens instead of 5 so it was cheaper than the conquest head from the vendor, means people also have an advantage there

yeah, its only good in a Dampe comp, or 2s i think

i checked this and it actually seems to be the case.

post 10 goes into it.

so basically fury warrs should ask themself as well wether they want to craft or not.
but ye im unsure tho if its common knowledge that they gets 2 weapons.
i could see alot of fury’s simply crafted because they didnt know.

one of the top dk’s i look at for gear is MES. hes AWC competitor and the craziest min/maxer i know. on the dk he plays currently he already has all 9 sockets and optimized everything.
and ye he says the embellishment is good but he doesnt value it over free 1750 conquest which is basically more then 2 pieces of gear.
but keep in mind that he min maxes his gear path and for example also looks at bloody token gear with desired stats that he will buy upcoming weeks. he basically makes sure that hes always at least 2 pieces ahead of people who crafted and by the time they are full gear, he crafts his epic wep. so basically he is ahead of them from the third week onwards and the week they get full gear he already has the conq to craft his epic wep. so he is never in a disadvantage except the first 2 weeks.

but ye this is some hardcore min/max stuff.
it also could turn out that his way is not the optimal/best way of doin it.

in the end it doesnt really matter. wether u craft wep now or not will not make that much of a difference.
weekly conq cap is increased and ull be BIS gear not long from now anyways.

the crafted weapons are better for dps
for healers armour with 2% hp beacon is better

healer - no crafted wep
dps = crafted wep with embelishment

thats the bis way

pretty easy to understand tbh,

As fury you get a crit and a mastery 2h weapon. However, the embellished crafted weapon is BiS so you want to craft it and get the 2h with mastery as offhand. Crit is useless as fury so you don’t want to have that weapon. Why would you not want to get your BiS weapon for the season on day one?

ye i think i went too in depth here.
its personal preferance. the difference in power isnt that big and if u wanna go hard first two weeks its definetly worth goin crafted weapon.
