When I finally got my hunter to lvl60 and started to get his leatherworking patterns for this expansion. I hit the point where leveling up ranks on the legendary crafted items were just to expensive to make and sold for alot less than the mats. Espically if we have to make 15 rank 1s to get rank 2 and then make 15 rank 2 to get rank 3 etc…
Is there anyway that we could get some sort of quest or pattern to learn which would make the ranks easier to craft
I agree, I have put alot of effort into the legendaries I have made, and I would hate to see it given away so easily.
But having said that, I detest the amount of work I’ve been forced to put into them. I like to play self-sufficiently, that means be able to craft all my own items etc… and it really became a full time job making these items for my characters.
Yes, I have been able to make lots of gold from selling them. But I think I would rather have had a completely different system which worked for everybody, rather than a system designed to be selling WoWTokens.
I do agree with you guys but back when you lot where making the rank1 andrank2 legendarys you probably able to sell them for even a little bit of profit but in 9.2 a rank 1 just wont sell
I was thinking of it as more of a catch up mechanic
Not really. rank 1 legendaries were profitable for about a day. After that they rarely sold for as much as Vendor mats cost. Rank 2 usually broke even and Rank 3 is where you started to see a little profit.
I farmed all the mats for my first Rank 4 Lego, and then worked on a sell one, make one routine until I had all the legos I needed.
But Rank 1 and 2, even in the early days of Shadowlands were just the gateway investment to get into the profitable Rank 3 and 4s.
And even when you got to Rank 4, you are just battling all the Mega-Goblins who have everything crafted and accounts worth of Multiboxing bots collecting all the materials they needed, so were selling cheaper than you could produce them.
Yes, I farmed the materials all the way up to my first Rank 4 Legendary. It took weeks, and required putting “extra-curricula” time into the game, as I still had other WoW commitments.
It was a pointless player power system added, just to create this Work for Wow of Pay for WoW culture.
