Crafting professions are ruined for solo players

I used to really enjoy crafting when I could just get my materials either by farming for them/gold to buy the mats I need off the AH, they completely removed that in this xpac. You cant even max out your crafting profession anymore without having to fill in work orders for other players but the high end players with super high knowledge and a lot of recipes already have a monopoly on the crafting market meaning players who are behind have no chance to even level their professions. It doesnt help that a ton of the mats used are BoP meaning you cant even reliably get them through the AH.

It feels like they made professions be purely a gold making method for the players who are already ahead “the rich get richer” kinda situation. I just hit lvl 60 in blacksmithing and I have no clue how to progress further because no one uses the public crafting order system and I cant compete with the crafters spamming general chat in Valdrakken 24/7.

I am loving the xpac so far and thus far I have enjoyed the changes to the crafting/gathering professions but they are starting to show their flaws now.

The only solution is to threaten Blizzard with a cashback.
It’s like a strike, there’s a financial impact if Blizzard ignores it.

IMO, this would easily be fixed with the removal of personal and guild orders. Public orders only, plus the quality setting. Once crafters also get a 30 minute (or more) cooldown on the crafting order acceptance, it will start to even out.

Indeed, I honestly dont know what blizzard were thinking when adding private orders.

Public orders “which is what 99% of the playerbase will rely on” is a dead system 2 weeks into the expansion.

Yeah this new crafting system is utterly pointless, due to people just using the “personal” option spamming trade chat, zero money can be made from this as a more casual player, literally running out of things to do as a casual player, honestly thinking of just unsubbing until the last patch of dragonflight.

Raiding is pointless these days with M+ rewarding better gear, and M+ pretty much getting forced on you for any progress anywhere. I just don’t find M+ fun, so not doing it, so would have been left with crafting, but that is gone as well, then what is there really left.

Personally I enjoy Raiding and m+ but stay away from it because of how elitist and toxic it has become over the years.

Oh I absolutely loved it in the past up to around SL, NM/HC was fine, but during the whole of SL (as opposed to Legion/BFA), raiding felt left out, the vault didn’t give ilvl upgrades like m+, just felt pointless given the time investment.

Actually enjoyed dungeons before M+ came out, M+ ruined it completely for me, people get mad if you accidently pull a mob too much, you step wrong, you didn’t skip properly. I actually wanted to tank in dungeons, but these days due to the toxicity I just can’t get myself to do it, I don’t want to memorize pulling the right groups of mobs to perfection, in every dungeon. This is the same in both pugs and guilds runs, you can clearly hear the disappointment/resentment if the key wasn’t in time, or +2/3 etc, in a pug you would be literally verbally abused.

The most fun I had in wow was actually in dungeons and raids, before M+/Mythic came out, after that, everything took a nosedive, after all a game is supposed to be fun.
