hello. i’ve been playing wow since 2007. for the most part i love this game but there is one aspect of it that i’ve hated with a passion since i started playing and that is the time required to smelt bars/craft items. lately the crafting has been improved by using certain enchants that reduce crafting time but for the older expansions there has been no improvement.
at the time i write this my miner is smelting 8876 ghost iron bars. at 1.5 second crafting time each. that’s more than 2 hours of my game time that is not actual game play. and as if that was not bad enough i can;t even afk to do something around the house or go to the store because the game considers crafting bars as being inactive and disconnects my character from the game.
can we please have an update for the older expansions crafting ? add an enchant like the ones from bfa to speed up smelting/crafting and it would be a great improvement for people who want to craft olf recipes. and for the love of god please remove the afk status from crafting.
as an example for a possible fix : in another mmo game (starts with g and ends in 2) when you craft massive amounts of a certain item the crafting speed gradually increases to the point that it’s almost instant. the current wow ah looks now like the one from that game so maybe you can draw some inspiration from their crafting system aswell.

I think you go afk (and then later autolog out after 30 min)? Just set your mobile phone alarm to alert you every 25 min? Its not unreasonable i think.
just put keyboard on the floor so ur cat/dog can step on it lolz

Watch a movie while having your crafting going on in the background. The game isn’t really built around long term crafting after all.
