"Credit or debit" payment error 05/03/2025

Just wanted to ask if anyone else is having issues paying the subscription through the debit or card system today in Europe?

For now, Battle.net has locked me out of putting new card information, and the following message appears instead:

“Heads up!
Some payment methods can’t be used for subscription payments.”

Did some research and it happened in the past as well to other players, one it resolved by “itself” and the other, I quote “It looks like this issue was caused by a configuration error with one of our payment processors though has since been resolved”

Hi, i’m having a similar issue. Getting an unknown error when trying to buy War Within.
I’ve even tried making a one-off virtual credit card. The shop doesn’t accept my credit cards.
I’ve tried both in battle.net client and in firefox and edge.
In both firefox and edge consoles i see an error message saying “Failed to log on server: CollectPaymentAdyenComponent”.
Adyen is the payment processor, so i guess they screwed up.

Yes Ircza, exactly the same is happening to me and the payment processor is Adyen also.

I dont want to disclose information but i know for a fact that it’s not an issue with my bank/card and not an issue with the platform i use to generate virtual cards (Mbway)

And with our console logs i can only assume that its the same as the second forum link i pasted up to “It looks like this issue was caused by a configuration error with one of our payment processors (…)”

Having the exact same issue. Trying to set-up my girlfriends new account and add game time but it won’t allow me to add a credit card.

Wrote a ticket and tried everything they told me to do, clear cache/cookies, new browse, mobile internet but nothing works…

Can’t even buy game balance on my account and send the balance to her?

Yes i did what they told me to do to no avail, so at least 3 people with the same issue is not a coincidence it’s a pattern. It’s on Blizzard side or the payment processor side

Feels good to know more people are having the same issue, should be a pretty high priority since they like money and we are just trying to give them more money

Tried Plenty of cards and Paypal, nothing seems to work.

Reading the console logs, it seems like someone messed up the general user scopes and it’s returning Forbidden on a /wallet/api request. It’s time to dig in on that authentication/policy commit done 1 minute before friday night fellas :smile: .

And this is not the first time over the many years I’ve played this… You gotta have some kind of special incompetence to not take money from your customers :grimacing: :woozy_face:

When i attempted the purchase now, i have noticed that there was a different payment processor listed at the bottom of the page.
The purchase worked and now i have bought both the game and subscription without an issue.

I’m still having the same problem. Tried different cards from different banks and tried paypal. Same outcome. Not fixed yet, for me at least.

Also, why the hell can’t we resubscribe with gold from warbound bank?

I am at same boat. When trying to add new payment method in profile system only returns ‘error occured’ message and I can see charge of 0 CZK in my internet banking, when trying to buy something at shop directly, message ‘We encountered an issue completing your transaction. Please try again later.’ returns.
