I have two 522 ilvl trinkets that I bought with bullion (Ominous Chromatic Essence + Fyrakk’s Tainted Rageheart) and just now bought a 3rd one (Ward of Faceless Ire). Wasn’t it supposed to be have crest free upgrades and fight stone discount? It only worked up to 506 and not 522 like I was expecting. Did the same on my mage last week with a 3rd trinket and it worked properly. Is it a bug or know issue or am I doing something wrong?

Sadly with rings and trinkets, it works on the basis of the lowest of your two items. This is so you can’t cheat the system and have a quick upgrade of the second ring/trinket.

That is indeed very odd!
Might be because you can’t loot rageheart so it’s not included in the discount? Meaning it gets treated as not contributing.

Yeah i have the same thing on my shaman. It is probably the Fyrakk tank trinket that does not count, even though it is 535.
Correct, it’s flagged as ‘not for your spec’ so isn’t used for any discount.

Also it’s not gaming the system if I’m just using the game normally to get gear.
Shamans don’t have much dmg reduction abilities to counter m+ mechanics at a certain level where stuff can one shot you almost every pull, so rageheart is the solution. People shouldn’t be punished for coming up with solutions using the systems blizz puts in game.
Also happened to me. Had “Fyrakk heart” at 535 and another one “Ominous Chromatic Essence” at 526 and the upgrade didn’t work for a m+ trinket at 510. My two cents is that some bullion trinkets bugs the system somehow.
It is hardly gaming the system when fyrakk is simply bis and necessary for survival in M+ because shaman lacks defensives. You also do nothing crazy to obtain the trinket. You just buy it with your bullions.
