Crit dmg penalty in pvp?

Throughout shadowlands beta there’s been a lot of streamers (and consequently loads of other people) saying the crit dmg penalty in pvp has been removed.

I havent seen any proper sources confirm this, and I had a suspicion it was just another feelycrafting rumour spreading like wildfire among the always so critical and well-informed pvp gang.

So I did some testing on the dummies in stormwind and found that crit dmg is still lower in pvp. But it would be nice if other people had done some more testing and could confirm, maybe inside arena wargames. Or even better: a link to blizzard source?

Crit was 150% in bfa, 175% in SL.

Keep in mind that spell variance is back in Shadowlands, so testing is gonna require a bit more now.

After some more elaborate testing this seems correct.

Tested both smite and cobra shot in duels and both did very close to 175% dmg on crits. Obviously trinket and enchant procs unequipped.
