Cross-faction and keys

Hi everyone.
At first week of the cross factions dungeons i was quite excited to meet (the other side) and have more players to play with for valor /keys etc etc.It was quite alright until i reached the 15s with an alt character.I am saying this because at lower keys things are simple enough. What started to happen after this point is a whole new chapter though.

1.First and most strange thing is that i can not find alliance keys.Is it a bug?Alliance players stopped listing their keys? There is one or two (maybe three) here and there. All i see is Kazak and Tarren Mill for the majority and 9 in 10 keys all Horde.
2.I had my suspicions that horde has more kids but the real truth is all quite worse.
-3k rio obsessions and dimisnishing ANY lower Mythic rating player.Someone told me that my opinion is invalid and i should not say it because my rio was (at that point) 2.1k.
-Gameplay to time a key that i find irritating stressing and unnesecary and joining their key forces me to do their way or they act like i am their Power Infusion slave/healer slave and add any other word you can possibly find.
What i am really trying to say here is that this cross faction dungeon brought a huge new wave of players with their issues to deal with. Not that there were not similar toxic players in Alliance keys (for the love of God),but this Horde new wave overwhelmed me for good.
After all that i am trying to find my old alliance keys ( and problems) to play with but i can not find any unless i list my own.
And seriously i can not group with Kazzak and Tarren Mill for some time. Those two realms overdid it to this point to create this post.
What is the point of Mythic Rating 3000 when Human Personality score is Zero?I think that Social Contract was accepted without reading it.
On top of that a 3k rio player makes a 240 alt finds a 15 key (somehow) and lists it to gear up with a note (3krio).I do not mind and i do not join but let it be heard and read.I never used anyone and anything to gear any character but they act like their 3k rio accomplishment is something to deserve respect and gear for any alt character when in truth is only a 240 alt with Zereth Mortis gear.Forgot to mention the 3k rio friend FRONT of the key to LURE players to join. That mentality gives me a brain headache.
Those attitudes were rare in Alliance keys. And maybe they jumped to Horde when in Alliance did not find space to do their ways. Some things are a mystery.

The social contract just gives admins clearer guidelines for what to punish when it comes to behavior. It isn’t like it was supposed to only leave the people following the contract left in the game, that’s just naïve if you believed that.

What the social contract did was give admins more power to take action, basically. So just report and move on.

Becuz alliance keys are rare themselves :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

For the kids on the horde side: just ignore them and move on.

As a Horde player, I just felt like I was boosting Alliance all week.

Most didn’t know basic tactics, and some would even go AFK unannounced.

Yes, Rio and M+ rating has had a very destructive affect on the game.

No, it’s made it easier to pug.

Yes, I’ll agree that it helps with setting up a group. But that doesn’t necessarily outweigh then destructive affect it’s had/having.

Explain?

Oh that old chestnut, it’s what Horde have been saying about Alliance and Alliance have been saying about Horde as long as I can remember.

I mainly just do weekly keys for vault, I’ve been with all sorts of players, their faction has no bearing on their ability or mentality in keys. I’ve had an Alliance hunter who forgot he could tranquil shot and went to the wrong platform twice on the last boss in DoS. Other Alliance players have played very well. The same goes for Horde. Nobody really cared in DoS it was still timed, it was just amusing.

They are all just players. With the Alliance being added to the player pool for PuGs it’s just meant it’s harder to get into groups because we have even more dps trying to get in for those spots. If you list your own key the number of people queuing shoots up for Dps spots very quickly. Takes longer to find healer or tank than the dps xD.

People can list their keys to be faction only. I have no idea how many go that route but I would think they are the minority.

First your post hurt my eyes to read :frowning:

Second most of what you said is simply not true , since cross faction its easier to get keys.

Third both factions have rude and nasty players and calling people “kids” is not very mature.

I had a quick look. The Horde is still the standard 10% bonus and the Alliance is sitting at 20% atm

This is not a faction specific thing. I was in a Streets +21 yesterday in a cross faction group. They killed Urh at the Post instead of Wo so we didn’t have the invis and speed boost for the market. At the market, no-one wanted to pick up the item, despite there being a druid and a DH in the party (I ended up doing it on my slow lock). On the final boss, they ran round like headless chickens and all got killed by shuri. Everyone was friendly enough and no-one left, but I don’t understand how people can get to that level key and still not know tactics.

Well you have two options. Two play with the oposite faction or put a tick in the check box to ignore the Horde groups. All my characters are horde and i can only say one thing deal with it or ignore the cross faction grouping all together.

That’s more about lack of communication in advance.

I don’t really see the issue here. People don’t run keys because they want to lose them. If you want to play keys your own way and on your own time, run your own keys.

This really sounds like you’re just inventing a reason to hate the player without knowing the first thing about them. Reading this makes me wonder if the other players you’re talking about are really the issue…

You know what they say, if you smell poop everywhere you go, look in your own lioncloth.

If these players are playing an alt which is undergeared, then that alt will be judged as undergeared player for the run. 240 ilvl for a + 15 is just a waste of resources and time.

Dying to shuri? Sure, it is.
As for the others, anyone with a tiny bit of sense knows that fast classes should carry the goods for the market, and I haven’t been in a group higher than about +15 that hasn’t killed Wo to make it easier.

This is not a faction specific thing, and your confirmation bias is unreal.

Both factions have toxic players, but with horde making up 80% of the competitive scene, it’s obvious that most of your bad experiences are gonna be with horde players.
No causality in that, just correlation.

First week with cross faction, the first 5 alliance players i got were all dog, but i am not gonna exclude alliance players for that reason, your faction has nothing to do with you as a player.

That’s actually something I also noticed and was wondering about.

Maybe it’s a misimpression because there are just that many more horde keys than ally keys? I mean, before cross-faction, there where hours with no fitting +15 key (dungeon specific) to apply for… now you only have to fait a few minutes max. Which is maybe part of the problem. Less alliance players now play their unwanted keys, since there are more wanted ones to apply for?

If you mean the wannabe MDI players pulling half the dungeon at once, screeching at you for not interrupting or dogeing out on stuff while your whole screen is filled with constantly moving, overlapping health bars because they’re still running around like crazy… oh yes, I can confirm that.

Maybe it’s beause there are so many more “high rio” ppl now playing their alts but thinking they have to play the same way as with their mains… but yes, some ppl seem to forget you can time a key without having to pull like crazy, wiping because of it and in the end only barely time the key instead of just doing small, steady pulls and ending the run +2 as an actually enjoyable experience for all players. Which is why I mainly play tank nowadays, so I can control the way the dungeon is played… unless some impatient DPS starts pulling and (almost) wiping us.

But, I also have to say many ppl currently just abuse high geared players to get carried… and I don’t think thats a faction specific problem but valor (un)cap specific, since those players got their hands on high(er) keys they otherwise wouldn’t have.

Sounds like the forums
