😈 [CROSS FACTION / EVIL RP] Shadows of Dunwald -- 01.12.2021

The word is spread through one dubious way or another, it festers like cancer in the kingdoms, capitals, villages and tribes: A veteran evil, spearheaded by “the Baron” and “the Duke” of “the olden north” (so it says in the now surfacing profane pamphlets written in the Common language, although there are murmurs here and there – mostly stemming from the absolute gutters – that some folk receive those writings in a much, much older language), reaches out to cast its shadow over the Dunwald Ruins. It shall be in those very ruins lost in the Twilight Highlands that ill folk, cutthroats, blackguards and even worse gathers soon – but why?

“You, the outcasts, shunned and hunted of this decrepit prison of what can only be mockingly described as a world are not alone. You never were. Only they had you believe it was so. But it is not. I have a great many things to tell you about, if you are willing to lend me your ear. And I am sure, you too, have things to tell me.” – The Baron

Most of the pamphlets contain these strange, to some absolutely empty and meaningless, to others fully promising, words. They go on about the supposed wrongs of the world and slowly drift into paradoxical conspiracy theories about the origins of the universe and what may lie beyond. Though they all contain – sometimes only hint at – the location “Dunwald Ruins”. And whoever distributed them made sure they would only end up in hands too dirty for reputable professions…

…also, every single one of writings contains the addendum “NO LEGION SLAVES.”

OOC: Hello my friends, the (IC) evil faction of the PCU hosts a cross faction and server wide RP gathering for characters that do not follow the conventional norms of Azeroth and think that there is something deeply wrong with the “Holy Light” or the concept of “doing good” and other such inane worldviews.

It takes place on the 01.12.2021 and starts at 20:00 server time (late-comers welcome). The location is Dunwald Ruins in Twilight Highlands. You do not need to be part of the PCU to attend this event. There is no need to sign up either.

The planned activities are:

  • A ceremonial speech and character introductions
  • Exchanging rumours, legends, beliefs and spells
  • Black market
  • Pit fight

In game contacts:

  • Morsteth, Xotrios, Skabb, Tyrinar, Megnarosh (H)
  • Shavka (A)

The thin-blooded masses could never provide the secrets of magic we desire…

The Lady of the House makes a note of the date.

Dilbert’s beady eyes scan the pamphlet’s enticing words. Reading deeper and deeper, his despicable grin widens, his portly little body hunching over the page and shrouding it in darkness. A rhythmic snort heralds the makings of a cackle, no doubt dripping in refined malevolence… but it does not come, for Dilbert reads the final, bold print words, out-loud and still in full capitals, causing his mischief of imps to scatter. Then, disappointed, he chucks the pamphlet in the bin.
