Cross-faction groups for unrated Battlegrounds

yeah this whole was expected, the AV issue is old too, happens with merc asw, just another bug in the list

agree, shouldve been like blitz, q, have mixed pools
maybe about time we get teamcomps in bg, and same teamcomp for each team (not same classes/specs, same team composition, both team same amount of healers and so on)

They are even shipping Goblins with Thicc Humans now, lul

I mean, I get wanting the Horde vs. Alliance thing. I just think, it is not enough of a strong argument anymore, to miss all those juicy improvements mentioned above :sob:

Currently waiting 15min+ for Hotmogu to open :upside_down_face:

Because not every goblin is on the horde!

Only the Bilgewater Cartel. The second leader of the SI:7 (Stormwind Intelligence agency) is an alliance goblin long before the horde had goblins.

Disappointing, to say the least.

Disappointing? Blizzard is allowing us to play with friends we have on the opposite faction. That is an amazing achievement Blizzard has done for us, we should be grateful and kiss Blizzards feet.

Now I dont know what kind of dream-like expectations people have but Blizzard is a money making company,
and not some people pleaser company to fulfill some peoples delusional dreams.

There’s nothing delusional about having the current race on a cross-queuing format within a Battleground, exactly how rated works, but unrated instead. The reason Blizzard is a money-successful making company is due to the consumer’s feedback and life-qualities improvements not to mention the history of quality games made by the company, therefore, nothing delusional what so ever, and will only strengthen PvP quality life, Blizzard just needs to work more on PvP rather than chucking PvE content left & right whilst PvP is left behind to rot.

Like, faster queue times for both factions.

Waiting for over half an hour, for unrated content :sob: :sob: :sob: :sob: :sob: :sob:

The lore being (often) lame isn’t an excuse to make it even worse. This way Blizzard allow you to play with your friend, lower your wait times by playing a Horde merc and the only downside is you have to play as a Tauren or whatever for a few BGs.

Still feels more right to have you being a Tauren on Horde then defending mudhuts with spikes or helping Forsaken take over Arathi Basin as a Draenei.

Also, what times do you play to get such wait times?

There are a lot of bugs with merc. Missing/less rewards, inability to use some items, enlistment bonus often bugged.
Also, if me and my friend chose our races specifically because we like them, it is not acceptable that we don’t really play our characters every time we play together.

That is of course everyone their opinion… :dracthyr_shrug: but also some reasons why the mercenary system has not managed to solve the imbalance (especially queue time) issues already

That screenshot was exactly from when I posted it, around 17:00 on Thursday. I waited over an hour for Hotmogu… I don’t know if has to do with queueing mechanisms and hidden MMR, I was queueing alone as hunter

Let’s say I would not mind at all, playing as my Draenei with Orc players in my team if queues get better :sob:

I think the main reasons why mercenary mode is not used a lot are that people do not know about the mode, the NPC is hard to notice if you are not looking for it (usually stands in the corner somewhere) and the “inconvenience” of having to reapply the mercenary buff every hour. If the mode was enabled through the find BG interface, I imagine more people would use it.

Not denying the issues you mention with the enlistment bonus and some other issues (AV base teleport etc), but I think all of these outweight being able to temporarily faction swap for free and lower your wait times and/or play with friends.

Haven’t gotten that long wait times here, unless I take up another activity in the meantime. And I also play as a Hunter. Weird.

What doesn’t help is the BG trying to balance healers, because people complained that their team only has X healers and the other had Y healers. Meaning everyone has to wait for healers, which is unsurprisingly not a popular role.

More often than not BGs end up with one team steamrolling another regardless of equal amounts of healers, so I’d say this is pointless.

The game has always been set as two opposite factions and the restrictions of faction interaction have been quite strict. Blizzard slowly removed some, but unless you started playing recently, you knew and noticed that two factions is one of the themes of the game (if you didn’t know when you first installed the game).

So it is acceptable, since no one ever promised or advertised that you would be able to play with your friend no matter what.
