Cross-Faction guilds
Thats great! now its time for Cross-Faction Bg`s as well :D.
I think most people enjoy Bgs regardless of Faction and just for the Sport which should easily facilitate Cross Bgs.
We kind of already had this trough the mercenary mode so you can queue on the other factions side
U can’t get into same BG as ur friends from the opposite faction if u r a merc so that’s pretty useless unless u get insanely lucky or exploit the queue
Yeah it wouldnt hurt if mercenary mode gets expanded upon and gets pointed out more in game so people actually know it exists
Mercenary Mode only adds to longer ques for Horde,
having them Cross-Faction and everybody mixed in would greatly help with Que Times.
it would also add more excitement and variety to PvP, making it a true competition rather than just fighting for Warsong Gulch for almost two decades. Blizzard could also keep adding new skins to the maps and align the story with the current narrative.
Moreover, I believe that the Horde-Alliance conflict is becoming less relevant to the common folk in WoW, as old grudges are mostly confined to the higher echelons. As players, we have fought against many common enemies and overcome numerous challenges together. Therefore, I think it’s time to move beyond the hate cycle and embrace a more inclusive and diverse gameplay experience that brings players from all factions together.
I understand that some may disagree with this idea, but I hope we can have a constructive discussion and consider the potential benefits for the WoW community as a whole.

Not really when i played there were quite alot of hordies on the alliance side. Horde always used to have the biggest queue time due to having more people do bgs. So mercenary mode mostly server as a way to get shorter queue times for the horde as they joined the allies. Mercenary always used to be there for the faction with the longest queue times for a reason.
Nonetheless i would have no problem with alliance and horde always being mixed in bgs. But i think it would better to just expand the mercenary mode, even making it as a clear visible option in the same meny where you queue up for bgs. After all there will always be people wich are stubbornly loyal to a faction in a videogame.
If you look around on the forums you will certainly see some of those who would riot if they were put on the same team as the alliance

Yeah I can agree with just expanding the Mercenary mode
At least as Cross Bg`s ,there would be no more whining “Horde/Alliance always lose” at least that would be gone
Or they could always try to create some new pvp formats where factions dont matter.
Like dragon racing trough queue, but given some mario kart like power ups and ways to slow/stop your enemy.
Or even some free for all bgs

To be honest, Reskins of Older Bg`s would be amazing,
Snowy Arathi Basin changes a lot, you can go over the mid on the ice and so on, they could add these weather effects to other BGs and keep doing stuff like that.
I think people mostly enjoy Flag and Base bg`s
Yeah especially epic bgs need this alot. Alterav valley isnt designed to be a race, ashran got stripped to its bare bones and needs its events back, wintergrasp seems too unbalanced. And they even could try to reintroduce aireal combat wich was promised before its release in wotlk. It could work with the dragon riding system for aireal combat instead of the old vehicles.
But pvp in general is in need for a big overhaul. Ranked solo queues for bgs, it needs new bgs/modes for variation, perhaps a rework for its reward system as well to fit next to solo queues for all ranked stuff
pvp needs to be expanded upon, after doing the same raids and dungeons alot i tend to get burned out doing them until the next main patch. But pvp given enough variation in bgs and modes keeps things interesting longer

Honestly there’s very little need for the faction block these days. Overwatch does pvp just fine with red vs blue. Horde and Alliance are two groups with different leaders, no-one said they have to be enemies, and the story has proven they probably shouldn’t be anymore
