I’d like to start playing as Alliance but it seems there’s no way to mail items/gold to a cross-faction alt. You also cannot purchase your own items from the auction house, so you’re not able to transfer items by any method that I know of, without having a second account or a middleman to trade between.
Why is this archaic rule still a thing given that the AH is cross-faction now? I’m not going to bother rolling on the Alliance if I have to leave behind my gold & professions on horde side.
Not entirely sure what comes with and what doesn’t anymore, but you can faction change a low-lvled character to alliance (paid service in the WoW shop), and put everything you wanna send over from the horde side to the alliance side in that alt’s inventory. Assuming everything gets sent over with it, of course.
Because MUH FACTION PRIDE! is still a thing, and these loud players will whine about anything that resembles cross faction features when it doesn’t benefit them. (Mercenary mode in BGs and cross faction AH does, so that is accepted.)
