Cross faction random queue

Cross-faction groups can now queue for dungeons. Dungeons will require a fully premade group and party members who leave will not be replaced.

Came to say that this is one things everyone is most excited about, but the feature will be dead on arrival if we aren’t allowed to queue up without filling the party up with four other friends first. What’s even more idiotic is that no replacements will be possible if someone leaves early.

If you must, introduce a checkmark to avoid cross faction, but I don’t see any downside to being part of a larger pool of players, especially when it comes to specific Chromie timelines where I am limited to that expansion’s dungeons, where some may be less popular than others, which negatively impacts queue times.

Stop with the dumb excuses and remove all the restrictions for dungeon and raid queues at least while you figure out how things should work for PVP. Deliver a full feature on patch day, not a half compromise for something no one even views as a problem anymore. Even those who disagree on playing with the opposite faction will quickly change their minds after noticing a significant reduction in queue times.

Alternatively you could always apply cosmetic buffs so players in the group always see others as their own faction (orc would turn into human or opposite).

Cross-faction groups can now queue for unrated PvP.

No mention of any restrictions here.

requiring a full group is the biggest disappointment imagineable. it might just not even be available at all

i really dont get why is this feature such a struggle. mangos devs solved it on private servers 10+ years ago. if you play crossfaction the instance just inherits the leader’s faction and does the spawns based on it.

its gonna take us another 5 years at this rate to be able to queue up for a random heroic with someone crossfaction and im not even gonna discuss how party members are unable to interract with mage portals for example outside of dungeons or mount seats

Honestly, i really don’t understand why they are so adamant about this. If you don’t want to force cross-faction groups on random players, then look for ways for faction purists to not be affected without limiting everyone else.

The problem is that the leader can change. Just make 2 groups and put people in there and call it a day.

This is a very easy 15 minute fix. But as normal the devs there have to make everything complicated.

Private servers have this, its all open source, just rip of their method. like it isnt hard
