Cross-realm grouping

Please make cross-realm grouping. At least for arenas.
Finding a PVP partners on other realms than Firemaw/Gehennas is almost impossible.

I’m playing at Pyrewood Village. In the PVP Group Finder, there are very few people at peak times (~5-10). All PVPers are mostly playing Firemaw which is locked (+ long ques). This can easily balance the overpopulated/locked realms and improve the quality of gaming experience.

Thank you.

No cross playing… go to retail for that where they destroyed the game with that crap

Please no, it’s too much like retail then.

Which I dont play anymore…retail sucks

Does it suck cause of cross server groups or cause the game mechanics are just bad though.

If you were an honest person you’d probably agree it’s the latter, so I’m sure you’ll claim it’s the first.

special people like you dont seem to understand that we have 2022 and not 2009 anymore and being able to play the game should be number 1 priority.

nobody quit over barber shop changes
nobody quit over buffed naxxramas
nobody quit over last patch uses

nobody would quit over X-realm and LFD

how can someone say something bad about cross-realm grouping in group finder. It literally increases the pool of players. This is must-have for instanced PVP groups. I am playing on Earthshaker which is a really big server and there are literally 6 groups of only dmgers at peak time looking for arenas in all brackets combined… which is sad…

Cross realm and sharding is the worst feature of retail why bring it to wotlk

How can you destroy the game by allowing you to have more groups, find more people, and thus enjoy games at a faster pace? Lulwut

Honestly, cross-realm stuff is one of the very very few features I really like about retail.

I get that it is very nice to have a static community on a realm. I do enjoy seeing familiar faces in pugs and stuff too.

But especially for Arena this makes sense imo, what he says is true, its very very hard to find arena partners on most servers.

Also, the realm situation has been horrible so far. With all the opening/closing/transferring etc.
People gather to mega realms for a reason. A reason that cross-realm stuff would eliminate to a certain point.

Imo, this would’ve been a good change for the game.
This has nothing to do with “Go play retail” blahblah.
I like classic more, but the realm situation IS annoying, especially since they don’t let you switch to mega realms.

Looks like an army of trolls are present in this threat.

So the OP is horde and he’s stuck on Pyrewood-Village which is almost completely alliance but blizzard lets ppl like this rot even though they admitted in the retail forums and several of their posts that they acknowledge ppl’s attachment to their chars. Really sad what’s happening here.

Like f/i Wintergrasp is now X-realm which WAS NOT the case in the original WotLK but no one protests. The original vanilla never had Xrealm battlegrounds yet when bg’s were opened, they were all xrealm, seen no protests at all during classic.

Where’s all this duplicity coming from?

I’ll stick with my statement that this threat is being infested by trolls and their goal is to derail the topic.

Retail sucks because of bad class design, classic suck because of a issue caused by the player base. If servers actually was healthy and not locked I would agree with you about cross realm. But we have a bunch of dead servers, locked servers, absolutely none balanced faction servers.

You are locked to a limited friends to play with, because if you wanna start from scratch with friends, you can’t join good servers because they are locked. Honestly only real solution is cross realm, because fixing realms isn’t something blizzard gonna do and if they do they will only create new problems. And I say this as a player on firemaw that have friends to play with.

So not the infinite level grind from paragon-esque type levels, the homogenization of classes, the weird stories, removal of choice in gearing, personal loot and all that, that’s fine.

It’s broadening the scope of players you can actually play with that’s killing WoW.

I don’t have as much free time as I did before, but I’d love to be able to play the game. For that reason I transferred from Gehennas to Ashbringer. I couldn’t simply wait 7-9 hours in que so that I can play for few hours. Ashbringer sure seems to be full now, but it’s really dead when it comes to pvp. Cross-realm grouping would simply fix the problem for pvp players. You play bgs with people from other realms, you also play against people from other realms in arenas. So I wonder, why can’t blizzard make cross realm grouping at least for pvp?

Sounds like retail is more what you want and not wotlk?

Yeah original classic had no xrealm bgs… And battlegroups didnt exists it was all just some kind of illusion
Wg part is true but tbh its the best they ve done for wrath classic
Sry probably personal rating and arena team removal was better
Lfg tool is nice addition but dung finder could be nice addition to especially for ppl on smaller realms…maybe xrealm arena party queueing even better

So you literally think broadening the scope of players you can play with is the downfall of WoW which is why you’re busy telling people to get the game so it can die faster.

There’s something incredible stupid going on here.

It’s not just the Horde side that got problems with finding Arena partners. I play Alli on PV, and it’s the same…
