As per title, it would be a great idea and would allow me to play with friends from other countries and on other servers.
Compared to Retail, levelling in Classic is very slow and each Classic/Wrath character is a much greater investment than on Retail. The time and effort and support you require on Classic is orders of magnitude higher than in Retail.
So I loathe to make a new character on another server just to be able to join occasionally some real friends.
Why? Keep in mind he doesn’t ask for RDF, he’s asking for applying same thing Blizzard wants to implement for PvP into PvE. Still a manual feature, just on higher scope.
Just implement RDF already.
They took a stance on keeping classic classic but add crossrealm PvP and HC+.
Wich has nothing to do with classic. Hypocrits.
It would also help relieve full servers if people could play on smaller servers and still be able to do group/raid content. A lot of people skip playing classic because they can’t start, or move to, the server their friends play and have a community on
Problem is that people are super against any form of cross realm for reasons that don’t make sense or stopped being relevant already. Plus it’s probably a big technical undertaking
Agree. I have some friends on one server, co-workers play on 2nd server and my brother plays on 3rd server. I want to play with all of them from time to time, but I have to hard commit to one of the groups. Cross-realm group making for pve would be amazing. This would also make it easier for dead realm people a lot. There is really no reason not to do it.
Nope. You need to manually invite a player. It’s easy if you have them on the Blizzard ID friendlist as it will track them regardless of realm but otherwise you’d need to use Discord.
