Cross region tokens

I’ve been playing NA since 2007 and since tokens were put in game I’ve used them either to have game time at first, then later once they were more expensive I bought one from the shop to put on the AH for gold in game. I made an EU account 2 years ago to play with UK friends but only found out after setting up the account I couldn’t buy one from the shop to sell on the AH for gold. Apparently this is due to my account having a US address. Every few days I would look but no token option on the shop in game or on the website.
2 weeks ago I discover token purchases are on the shop so I bought one and put it on the AH and a few hours later had the gold. Today I tried again but now once again no token purchase is on the shop. Was the ability only a one time thing or will it be back eventually? Can I get a blue response from Blizzard please with official information?

Was a thread about it recently, believe it’s a bug or a temporary effect? Don’t recall any official word about it off Blizz themselves.

Thanks Beerwolf. Blizz giveth then taketh more away. I guess I’ll see if one of my UK friends can do the token thing when I send them IRL money. I thought when I made my EU account I could buy tokens for gold and get all the stuff my NA account has built up over the years and after getting to buy that token a couple weeks ago I was hopeful but Blizz is great at taking the fun out of WoW.

It sounds like a bug, a few days ago we had that token could only be swapped for gold problem.

if your residing country doesn’t match the playing country you cannot buy game tokens which is the intended feature.
