Cure for an altoholic

Hi all,

I would love to have a main character…
But i Cant seem to stick to one class :frowning:

In legion i mained a feral druid.

But since bfa all i have done is switch characters Every 2 weeks.

How did you guys stop Being An altoholic, of does Annybody have some tips?

There is just something i like in Every class.

There is no cure - just embrace yourself as altoholic.

I would that BFA was a pretty good antidote to altoholics.

Did it work?

It’s not your fault, Blizzard just made every class so boring that it’s really hard to stick to one.

My thoughts just a month or 2 into BFA.

BFA after 8.2. And i was ‘‘done’’ with alts.
All that remains now, is a geared DK and geared Warrior.

Where as other xpacs i was running M+ on 5-6 characters weekly. (some just 1 dungeon, others some more)
Now i am just running M+ on the warrior and forget about the rest.

If it makes you happy carry on.

Beats being stuck in a boring grind you never wanted to do, just to get better pixels that will be replaced by Shadowlands greens soon.

I have 2 sulotions

I have the time & want to grind, but not sooo much - main 3-4 different charas, make sure they are quite different from eachother

The alt system, more freely - Main 1 maybe 2 chars ( although reccomend 1 ) then you just play what you want, when you want, dont force yourself to grind or progress, just play what you feel like when you feel like it, this is what i do atm
Having a blast playing on a 450 dk!

Embrace it.

Spin a wheel and play whatever class it lands on solely. To help yourself out, delete all the other ones because there’s no way you’re going to want to level and gear them up again.
I’ve actually done that and have started removing alts. I’m down to 3 “mains” from an original 12 lmao. I’m slowly starting to beat altoholism.

Why would you want a cure?! Altoholicism (or w/e it’s called) is great!

I had that problem now I have chosen Hunter as my main because I really like the class and having the ability to tame any mob in the game. Having Alts is good though as it gives you more chances at those rare boss mounts and transmogs too. I say embrace if you enjoy it.

Become a completionist, OP.

Sounds like Shadowlands is going to do even better at killing off us altoholics TBH…so many systems and systems and…

sigh
:frowning:

I though they were pushing alt-friendliness though? It doesn’t seem so bad, which systems look troubling?

You simply don’t stop being an Altoholic.

With more alts the more chances of rare mount drops - transmog drops
aka the TRUE END-GAME of WoW

This comes from a Severe Altoholic with about 80 lvl 120’s.

But WoW is not alt friendly :disappointed:

I think it is very friendly to leveling alts up to max but then it all falls apart and having alts becomes a chore rather then a pleasure.

I managed to trim my down to shaman and hunter, although I’m looking to main just 1 next expansion.
Getting a main is worth it though, you don’t feel like the game is a waste of time like you do when you alt hop unless you have done everything on every alt, quests, reps and gear.

Why did you main feral druid on Legion? And what sort of fantasy do you like usually?
