As title says, why do I have 10 - 20 different currencies taking up bag space, whether it’s Marks of Sargha, the million and one crest fragments or Centaur Hunting Trophies… Why tf are these not just put into the currency tab? Can anyone offer an answer to this? I don’t find it interesting to click on the ‘mysterious’ fragment backpack and receive two crests… Like thank you for giving me this reward that idgaf about for the ten thousandth time, so glad I subscribe to this game?
Also, having 15 different currencies every patch doesn’t add intrigue or depth, it’s just confusing and pretentious. Pick 3 currencies, stick with them through the expansion. Done.
I can tell you why crests aren’t, it’s because of the technical limitations of having them be capped as a reward per week but also able to be acquired through other means such as quest rewards and downgrading. Not to mention also being used for crafting.
Blizzard have also stated that this was a technical limitation and they will be making the necessary changes to have them be currencies in a future patch / reiteration of the system. The plan is then to have those currencies stay not just for the rest of the expansion but for the foreseeable future, the first iteration is just dragon themed because… Dragons.
Arent Marks of Sargha being able to sell on AH??
Also for the Centaur trophies, after you reach renown any centaur trophy that drops, is account bound, so you can send them to your alts for renown catch up
Just mark the currencies you dont care about as unused and they get moved into their separate tab. Even if your currency would reach 0 it would remain in the currency tab.
I’ve been banging this drum since at least BFA, maybe even in Legion (when the currencies started getting out of hand).
You can use Currency sinks or weekly caps to prevent stockpiling a currency before a new patch brings new things to purchase.
Or even do a reset where we get gold for whatever currency is being reset. As long as there is enough warning for players to either spend it or lose it and the system worked this way for a long time so players knew to expect it.
