Meta is generally found by looking up what the different players are doing at the top of ladder in the respective content.
For M+, you usually check Raider.io
For raid, you usually check warcraftlogs.com or lorrrgs
For PvP, that weird french site that shows up when you google that
General answer:
For M+ you play Thane for BiS, but Slayer is used as well.
For Raid Slayer is often played for BiS, but Thane is used as well.
For PvP, Slayer is the go-to pick

No idea about PvP.
Single target = Arms Slayer
Burst AOE = Fury Slayer
Sustained AOE = Fury Thane
Depends on the content you’re doing. If you want an easy answer, play Fury Thane in dungeons and Fury Slayer in raids, or whatever you feel like, somebody ran Colossus Arms in the MDI so.

So basically Fury Slayer is the best overall? (for most content, I do both PVP and PVE)
I mean roughly speaking, swapping between the two is one button so it’s hardly a big deal, try both. If you wanna play Slayer Fury for everything, you can.

Both are working but require different stats focus, fury slayer has an edge but Arms is not far behind. Question of preference, do you prefer to burst or be more consistent.
For pve, unless you push +12s and up, Slayer is more than enough. Thane is just another way to play, not much changes otherwise.
