So just my few cents on my experience with Shaman so far. And what i’ve found of bugs/obvious horrible design

Bugs: Earthshield /Talent “Reactive Warding” Does not correctly heal accordingly to “ missing stacks of eartshield “ - Sometimes does not heal at all.

Deeply rooted elements does not correctly proc Talents associated with Ascendance.

Stormbringer Feedback and bugs.

Dead Talents : Descending Skies - Opgrades next lightningbolt to tempest, useless if you don’t play ascendance.

Bugs: Sometimes you will randomly lose your mealstorm stacks, or the tempest proc. I assume this is due to something else overwritting it in the coding. But this alone makes Stormbringer dead, since you can randomely miss out on all your burst.

Totemic: I actually havn’t found any Bugs directly tied into Totemic, please do list them if you have found any.

General feedback on Shaman Tree:

I actually rather like the base treeline, plenty of meaningfull choices - i do dislike the “ two point “ talents, but oh well.

Enha Tree : Having to take 2 lvl in hothands, and two in Static accumulation feels really, really bad. for my current build it means that i can’t play Flurry or ride the lightning.

Have yet to Sim, so im unsure if Flurry, converging storms or ride the lightning will sim the best. Currently running Converging storms.

TLDR: Mandatory talents and ‘two-pointers’ makes us unable to pick more interesting stuff.

Ascendance feels horrible the CD is way to long and way to scripted for pvp. Deeply rooted elements is bugged, and procs way to little. I’d prefer having all burst tied into Doom winds and talents to amplify doomwinds one way or the other.

Apex Feedback: Horribly Boring, it just a mandatory over all dps increase with no actual gameplay tied into it.

I think this is related to “Arc Discharge” talent. I noticed it’s either bugged or not properly described. Sometimes I get Arc Discharge buff WITHOUT using Tempest (I’m just normally attacking and suddenly I get the buff) and second thing related to Arc Discharge that is nowhere written is that using Stormstrike will discharge it automatically. So if you get this buff right before you hit stormstrike you might feel like you “lost” all your maelstrom while you actually discharged it into a chain lightning.
Not gonna lie took me some time to figure out what the hell is actually happening and why sometiems I just randomly fire chain lightning… but I don’t think it disappears I think this is what’s going on. And if it’s a bug or lack of description on the buff, no idea.

And I agree with the talents. Most of them are truly must and at the end you feel like you actually have no choice.
What is also crap is some “hero” talents overlapping with real talents like Supercharge and Thunder capacitor. If they both proc at same time you don’t benefit from the other. Which again sounds like garbage design.

But what I truly hate is Raging maelstrom not being in sync with Maelstrom. Getting 50% cast reduction on heal after instantly firing damage spell is just garbage annoying design. In PVP or intense combat situations it just leaves you with one option and that’s always full your maelstrom to 10 before firing, which actually kills the whole idea of “use 5to10” possibility. Stupid choice as hell this nerf.

Sometimes the fire wolf targets mobs in range even when they are out of combat. Happened a few times already.

So I am trying enhancement right now and there is something that I’m not quite sure about with it. So when we take ascendance then doomwinds gets baked into it as a passive when we are not in ascendance form. However when we take deeply rooted elements then doomwinds just goes poof? That seems like quite a heavy price to pay for such a low proc chance ability.

Edit: Also can I just say that enhancement shaman apex talent feels absolutely horrible in dugeons and pvp. Just saying.

It seems that we are going to have ANOTHER season being on the bottom.

The current healing is ridiculous. When you’re affected by dampening and healing reductions, healing surge is practically insignificant even with 10 stacks.

It’s absurd that we can only summon wolves during Ascension, which is precisely when we generate the most Maelstrom. Wolves used to be a significant source of Maelstrom outside of burst damage. Feral Spirit should become an independent skill again and works exactly as it did in the previous expansions.

The fact that we need 10 stacks of Maelstrom to be able to heal instantly puts us in an extremely weak position against classes like Subtlety Rogue.

There are classes, like paladins, that have retained all their defensive abilities, but Blizzard felt it appropriate to remove the bulwark totem when we need it most.

The class is possibly in one of its worst states since BFA.

Paladins with all their defensive abilities had 1.5kk crit top while enha had 15kk maybe it will take time to get used that you are not restore shaman anymore :laughing: Go try totemic its broken rn

I feel like wolves would be fine(ish) if procrate for doom winds outside of ascendance was just much higher, most of all I don’t want to have to spam feral spirits again.

Healing/survivability in solo play is indeed awful, probably one of the worst of all specs currently.

Also if by chance any dev reads this can we please make stormbringer playable for enhancement again by giving spenders a real buff? It’s abysmal currently which is a shame for such a fun build.
