Current status Threads of Fate and Covenant campaign?

Hi all, I recently created this new character with a lvl 70 boost, and would like to do the Night Fae covenant campaign at some point, as I have missed it during Shadowlands.

Questions:

  1. Ist the Threads of Fate skip for the leveling campaign still available? There is conflicfing information online.

  2. If I opt into Threads of Fate, will I still be able to do the covenant campaign, or is this auto-completed as well?

Thanks.

I think the Threads of Fate skip was removed and can’t be started by newly leveled characters.

Threads of Fate is still available but at level 60.
The Covenant Story campaign is still available but also has a skip available.

I put some alts into covenants a few months ago to get some mogs and this worked ok.
I picked the “I’ve seen this before” to skip the Maw intro and then when I got to Oribos I spoke with the guy there and selected Threads fo Fate and then went downstairs and choose a covenant.

For threads of fate you need to complete the campaign at least once on your account. After that your other characters should be able to choose between the campaign and the “skip”. Same goes to the Maw/Korthia/Zereth introduction questlines.

Ok, so the skip for the covenant story is seperate from the skip for the leveling story? That would be exactly what I would like to see.

And do you mean that you have to be less or equal 60 for Threads of Fate, or above level 60? Thanks.

There are 3 skips.

  1. Maw Intro.
  2. Main Campaign.
  3. Covenant Campaign.

You have to have done these previously in order to be able to avail of them. They can be used separately. You can Do the Maw Intro and then Skip the Main Campaign and then Skip the Covenant Campaign if you wish to.

You must be at least level 60, not less than it.
In the past you leveled using the Main Campaign and you used to Threads of Fate to level via a different means. Now if you choose SL as your Chromie Time zone you must do the Main Campaign. So to use Threads of Fate you must be beyond Chromie time.

Edit: Not sure how much of the Covenant Campaign is actually skipped. I think it might be just some of the intro quests in the Sanctum, it’s something like “I know my way around” or something.

Thanks much for the detailed reply, looks like it will work for me then. I’ll go try it out.

Let us know how you get on, in case things have changed in the last few months.

It worked as advertised and intended.

Summary, as a freshly boosted level 70 who did nothing but Dragonlands so far:

  1. Went to Stormwind Keep to talk to Highlord Darion Morgraine, accepted Quest “Shadowlands: A Chilling Summons”.
  2. Talked to Whitemane, skipped Maw introduction (THANK GOD).
  3. Was met by the Fatescribe immediately, accepted and chose “Threads of Fate” to skip leveling campaign.
  4. Was sent to Tal-Inara as a followup to choose covenant.
  5. Finished “Choosing a purpose” WITHOUT the skip, joined Night Fae.

Now have the quest “Report to Moonberry” with Night Fae Campaign at 0/9, exactly what I wanted.

Important addendum if you do this:
Next to the flight master in Oribos there is an NPC who sells “Broker Mark of Distinction” to raise your covenant level to 60. Do this before you fly to your first quest to not waste Reknown.

You will need a macro to bring up the Covenant UI:
