I’ve lost access to my old email connected to my battlenet account and contacted support since 2 days ago and provided them with pictures of my bank account with transactions made for that account to ahow them it was mine i even send them my id so they can se that it matches the same personal information i gave them all the right personal information. Since it was years ago ibplayed i cant remeber any cd keys number in that account. I even gave them the last played character name i played on and the information about the last payment to subscribe for that account. Even so i cant get help this support is the worst i ever encountered. I put years and money on that account and this is what i get back. Ty blizzard support you are the best.
what exactly did they tell you about the issue?

No still haven’t got it back, they sent me the same mail telling me to fill out all the questions in a new ticket witch i did. I filled the personal questions, billing adress, transaction numbers, secret question, like i wrote before i even sent them photos of the transactions and photo of my ID.
Thia is just comedy how they operate like what do they want more sample of my blood to see if the blood type matches
may i ask what kind of id you sent them?
for ID they need either passport or driver license.
Ive sent the the EU ID wich works as a passport here in Europe front and back with all the marks visible
i assume those pictures also shows the details like picture of you, name etc.
i would say that try and get your ticket escalated to a senior GM since getting the same response constantly isnt what you need atm and i totally understand how you feel atm.
Sadly i dont know how to do escalate it forward, i dont think they will answer faster if i send them more tickets that i already have done. With multiple pictures of my ID with everything showing. Im just sad that my world of warcraft journey ends here. If i cant get my account back i will just give with this game sadly…
the reason they are so strict with this is because they want to be 100% sure that you are the original owned of the account.
i assume you already have an open ticket so in that ticket kindly ask to have it escalated to a senior GM.
Yes i fully understand and appreciate the security ofc but if i send them proof with matching personal info that matches my ID and all the payments for that account. That should be it, only i have acces to my bank account… thabks i will try this…but i already lost all hope.

The process usually takes a week or more, so hang in there.
Just keep reopening your ticket when bots try to close it.

Sorry to hear that you’re having troubles recovering an account of yours.
From from I’m seeing, it looks like the information you provided didn’t match the information we have on record for this account. I can also see that we’ve requested more information, and that you seem to have opened a new ticket.
We won’t be able to provide more information on your account publicly - on the forums - for obvious reasons.
You can change the email yourself, just log into your account using your old email and password.
I would guess you used a fake name for the account contrary to Blizzards terms of use at the time. A slight misspelling will not cause the problem described above.
I must agree the quality of support at Blizzard changed drastically over the years, automation being the biggest cause of that decline. (And I am not referring to the GM’s, but to the system itself).
I have had two major issues with my account a few years back: my account got hacked at one point, and I lost access to my authenticator at another (phone broke and had to get a new one).
Both of those situations were solved with perfection. In fact, they were resolved so perfectly that I boasted about Blizzard having the best customer service of all the companies that I knew, back then, to all my gamer friends.
When I got hacked, I wrote a ticket in-game, which soon after was answered and a GM dedicated a good 20min or so to solve the situation, in a flawless manner.
When I lost access to the authenticator, I scheduled a call which happened at the exact time I scheduled it for, and again, a GM carried me through the whole process, which took only a few minutes.
Now, however, there is not an option to open a ticket, almost every single issue that a player may have gets redirected to some automated process and to actually get a GM to address the situation you have to write a post in the forum, where often enough the issue will be dragged along.
Again, I have no blame to place on the people working as GM’s, but on the system. It lost the outstanding, world-class quality that it once had, and it is a shame to see it happen. Blizzard has gone from becoming a role model for all other companies out there, to just becoming “another company”.
Hopefully your issue won’t be dragged for several days or weeks, and you will regain access to your account.

there is the option to open a ticket but what you are referring to is the suggested forums post that might help your issue but no matter what you always have the option to open a ticket.
I imagine it is, but it has to be some sort of maze, my attempts all led me to the “submit a suggestion” or “feedback” part and after like 10min of trying to work it out I gave up.
Back in the day it would take maybe 3(?) Clicks to open the ticket window.
when you click Support and choose Account, Payment or Technical then there is a button on top that clearly says Contact Support.
2 clicks so really easy.
But if the name on the account does not match yours, that includes if it belonged to a relative then they cannot help.
Did you even TRY the link I provided? If you can make a ticket then you can use that link to change your email.
No, when I click Support, it takes me to the Support Home Page. There is indeed an option at the top called Contact Support, but when I click it, it doesn’t take me to any ticket opening window, but rather to what you just said (Account, Payment etc, page). From there, let me know what to click to open a ticket, cause I have tried every option and none leads me to it. The max that any of them does is take me to the forums.
