Why can’t i change how the look of my mount’s armor? For instance the twilight drake has such great colour scheme and the model of those drakes is awesome but its riding seat is ugly. Would be nice if there was an ingame mount barber shop or something for equipment.
Onyxia mount has exactly the same problematic riding seat.
A mount is no different than my character and i really like to collect outfits and dress my characters. The same would be awesome for my mounts. Some armor sets look just god awful.
i mean, they cant be bothered to even fix simple clipping issues or let us keep our hairstyles when we have certain hats on, i highly doubt this will ever happen but it would be nice indeed.
I love the mage mount from Legion and it just annoys me I can’t use the different colours of it (for example fire appearance if I’m playing Arcane) yet Paladin has 4 recolours of the same horse they can use regardless of the spec they’re in.
Afaik mounts are a unique model in the files, not a model + items. So that would mean redesign all previous mounts to extract the armour from the base model, which may be too much work for it to be worth the cost.
This could happen in future content, we already got a glimpse with the covenant “upgrade your covenant mount” as you have multiple models of the same mount with increasingly more armour pieces but that’s about it for now.
I would already be happy if we could choose between saddled and non-saddled version. 90% of the mounts are based on attackable mobs so it wouldn’t be that much of a problem to implement a switch between them. Somewhat like it is with the vulpera mount and it’s “rooftop”. Maybe than I would use that amazing void dragon but not with that god-awful saddle.
