Hello Blizzard,
after the recently announced new customization options for several races, please consider giving us the option for our male trolls to stand upright, just like orcs have this option.
Male trolls are the worst race when it comes to transmogrifying, since they are always bend over so you can’t see the front of their chestplate.
I think they have been bent down for far too long and deserve a more upright position now.

This is tricky with trolls though because it is clearly stated that one of the things that sets Zandalari apart from the other trolls is that they stand unhunched.
With orcs they simply hunched and it wasn’t clear why that was as it wasn’t stated as part of it anywhere, but for trolls it has always been the case that trolls (excepting zandalari after their MoP reinvention) stand hunched over. Even in WC3 the posture of the Witch Doctor and Headhunter and Shadow Hunter units was consistent with this.
Also with the current male troll model it may be problematic and more difficult than the Orc one of “straightening them out” because if you have the current male dark spear model stand upright they actually stand taller than Taurens and zandalari which aside from being problematic (doors) is inconsistent with their depiction in Lore. They’d need a new model almost to make this possible without making them too large which would make them look wierd standing next to hunched trolls.
I think trolls are still missing some cool options (skin tones, facial hair for males) but their posture isn’t one. Not when their lore specifically states they stand hunched.
With Worgen and undead, I’d get removing it because nowhere does it say these races stand hunched over, and we have depictions of members of these races that don’t (Genn) but all non-zandalari male trolls in the game stand hunched, and are stated to have a hunched posture explicitly. It’s different.
Taz dingo… Hunch allows them to throw spear faster. Original trolls looks better than zandalari trolls who are straight (personal opinion)
Hmm I don’t see why not. Orcs have proven they have the technology.
Both look cool for different reasons.
I get OPs bone with troll male breastplates, but when you have a hunched troll in great troll mog (like ZA sets, ToT sets, Legion shaman set) they look absolutely bomb. When they get the inevitable shadow Hunter themed HA (with the wooden effigies on the back) it’s only because they stand hunched that this looks so good (because it places it on top of their character) rather than sitting like a wierd backpack.
I mean the Shadow Hunter model in WC3 with the wooden sticks with skulls and masks sticking out from over his head, awesome. If he stood upright these would be dangling off behind him somewhere. It wouldn’t look right.
Trolls just need proper mogs for support. Flashy shoulders and back items. They’re not a good race to show off a cheat piece (not many are tbh and many chest pieces aren’t that amazing honestly)
From the replies I have gathered that some people would appreciate it, if male trolls could stand upright and some would chose not to select that option, which is a good thing imo, because we appreciate some diversity.
In regards to the lore, we know that it gets bent to whatever it takes, so it wouldn’t seem completely strange to me if some male trolls looked at the other troll races and decided to straighten up a bit.
The technology is already in the game by the way, you can see your male troll stretch and stand upright in the character screen and ingame as idle animation. They are nearly as tall as Tauren when they are standing straight, so I’m sure that it wouldn’t cause collision problems if trolls got this option like the orcs already did.

I might be wrong, but in lore don’t the Darkspear hunch over as a sign of respect to other races of the Horde? As in, not towering over them and being on their level. So like orcs it isn’t a natural physiology thing and trolls can easily stand upright. I think they’re set apart pretty well from Zandalari in that Darkspear are so much more narrow and lanky looking. It would be a cool option to throw in for trolls, and for the Forsaken too!
Don’t think so. Other non-horde jungle troll tribes also have a hunch back, and only males do it. Female stand straight.

as for OP i fully support it, you know those moments when darkspear stretches and he is slightly in upright position for 2 seconds, this makes them look so much taller and badass
I want upright undead. We already got the boneless skin. Now it’s time to fix that posture. I don’t see Sylvanas or Nathanos hunching
