Customizations Void elf/Blood elf

Playing around on the PTR with the new customizations is probably the most fun I’ve had in a while. The gameplay is also fun! I highly recommend trying it.

With that being said… I realized there are some things that can be worked on more in Terms of customizations.

I am aware Allied races will get customizations in the future. Wether it be 9.1 or 9.2 or 9.3. I’m only making my suggestions early so that blizzard can take this time to actually work on them, so by the time 9.3 or whatever comes They know what’s missing, or what the races need.

I am also aware Void elves got the most customization out of all Allied races. But that shouldn’t stop us from fixing some stuff that need fixing to make the race better. Also us Void elf fans pretty much got nothing we wanted, nothing Edgy.

Since I mostly play Blood elves/and Void elves I will focus on these.

First of all Nightborne need new customizations as soon as possible. They are lacking so much. They need extra faces similar to the NPC’s. They need more hairstyles. And some of the skin colors can be borrowed from the night elves, the night elves have skin colors that would look great on a Nightborne/Highborne. Because right now they only have 3 and it’s tragic.

Same thing with LFD, only a few similar colored skin tones/ hair colors.

Darkspear Trolls need a Green skin, similar to the Revantusk Tribe.

New skins for Vulpera, maybe a Blue fur.

Blood elves need Rune scars, Scars, and maybe even Makeup. It’s 2020 would be nice if Belfs can choose which lip color they want (pink, black red, etc) They are kinda the Humanoid of the Horde side. I also find it weird that Night elves have a scar called “Teldrassil”, but blood elves don’t have any Scars from the Invastion of Quel’thelas?

Also if possible… Dark Rangers. Shadowlands is the best time to add these customizations. And if that’s not possible, let’s at least get red eyes for Blood elf Deathknights.

The tattoos are not a necessary thing as only one NPC Ingame has the Thalassian Tattoo, but would be a nice edition nevertheless. Going back to Warcraft 2.

Hairstyles:

The females ones look good.

As for the males… I wish they can fix the Widow’s peak. Almost all the male hairstyles have that V shape that’s kinda looks like they are balding.

I understand they tried to create a “Edgy” feel, but that’s not edgy… that’s just bad. I understand if maybe one hairstyle had that Widow’s peak, but almost 80% of them have that. As a Edgy guy, I do not approve. Edgy people like Bangs.

Which is why I’m changing my gender to female in SL until the problem is fixed. Other than that, they don’t really need any new hairstyles. Just fix the Balding problem.

Finally hair colors, I’m only suggesting two: black and White

It’s natural, but also matches the void theme and in fact is void related. There are Void elf NPC’s that have Jet black hair, and as a Edgy race I expected them to get it from the beginning, but was disappointed when I realized they don’t have it. Jet Black hair color (similar to the new belf one) is the only thing Velf fans have been asking for since the beginning of the Void elf race.

Just because we are allied races doesn’t mean we don’t deserve good customizations. We worked hard to unlock these races, and some of them took months to unlock (I’m looking at you Zandalari :face_with_head_bandage: )

So please blizzard don’t forget the allied Races, especially the Vulpera, Nightborne, Zandalari, Kul Tirans, LFD, etc)

There is loads of these “elf customization” posts. Don’t make new topic on same things over again. I get you all love elves, but this is starting to go too far. Post on 1 topic about these. No need to make new topic every single day.

This is actually my first time asking for customizations. I’ve never done it before.

And on those “forums” you speak of the conversation is lost by going off topic with constant arguing, yelling, and name calling. So how can I post my ideas? My comment will be lost within the many arguments. So it’s easier to make my own thread listing what I wanna see, If you understand what I mean. At least my ideas would be the main topic of the post, so that even if arguments start it wouldn’t be lost and blizzard can easily see it.

This isn’t just a elf post, I also talked about Trolls and LFD, but mostly focused on my main Races.

You can post your opinion ofc and you can post it also on those posts. These posts about customization just goes off topic… People has their own opinions and fantasys about how elves should look like. That is how they go off topic and has loads of arguing. I wish you good luck with this post and hope you get some conversations about this and less arguing.

You almost had me going with the title :laughing: but I mostly agree with everything you said. My only issue is

That’s kinda the whole point. It’s unique because Alleria is a named npc with a unique character model. And afaik unique model visuals have never been made available to players, so the likelihood of getting this is minimal to none

Yeah that makes sense. I don’t think Anduin’s hair is available to Humans

when I came into this thread I was expecting it to be filled with completely unreasonable requests that completely compromise the core identity of what a void elf is.
I was pleasantly surprised.

I’ve no issues with black/white hair being added
And just wanting hair that changes the hairline, thats reasonable

Thanks! I tried to make it as reasonable as possible. My main problem with the customization is the lack of Black hair, and the balding problem. Especially the balding problem…

Also your ideas are pretty good, I honestly wanted them to lean further into the Void of the Void Elves rather than just giving them blood elf stuff (stuff like toggleable void wings instead of having them be on the heritage chest, permanent versions of the racials voidskin, purple eyes, stuff like that)

I don’t think they despise the race. Many amazing work went into Suramar. It felt like an actual city.

And the story between Lor’themar and Thallysra is the best romance lmao.

But yeah they are Lacking in customization, That’s for sure. When allied races get the attention, I do hope they get something great to represent how great they are.

Yeah I was glad to see that, though they’re more Arcane looking than the kind of Umbral purple that I was hoping for.
But yeah I just feel like Nightborne have really been let down, I honestly think they need a lot of work, closer to an overhaul than just a few new options, Nightborne and Suramar are the thing that got me into WoW properly in Legion, so it’s really sad to see them so undercooked when playable. I still hope for Nightborne DHs since we have the felborne in game already, and their aesthetic was amazing.
